My FH and I will be at WDW for our honeymoon (staying AKL) and were wondering which tours we should do?

I have heard of a Dolphins In Depth Tour, but that's about it...

Also, any info on Pleasure Island would be GREAT!!

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

For our honeymoon in July we are going to take 3 of the tours. Keys to the Kingdom at the Magic Kingdom behind the scenes and supposed to be really good. Hidden Treasures of the World at Epcot which goes behind the scenes with the costumes and information on the cultures, and then there's a safari one we are doing at Animal Kingdom where you get to see the hospital and where they prepare the food etc. With the plan we got we have unlimited access to the tours so I figured why not take full advantage of them. :cool1:

Edited to say: I'm taking my FH to Disney for the first time in July for our wedding. How excited is your FH to be going? Dennis is starting to feel the magic and the excitement is starting to grow. :earseek:

We did the Keys to the Kingdom tour at MK and the backstage safari at AK during our Honeymoon.

We also did the Around the world on a Segway tour at Epcot

Are you staying concierge level at AKL? We've also done both the Sunrise and Sunset Safaris offered to AKL concierge guests (we've done both twice actually). Kinda pricey - but very much worth it!

I would reccommend all of these...and we'd do them again!

Mike (FH) is ABSOLUTELY dying to go... He's so excited. He didn't understand at first, but now he does!

Where are you guys staying, when will you be there? I think it's very EXCITING on these boards to see who will be there at the same times.

We have the Dream Maker Gold Package, because we booked in October, so we have unlimited tours too...

Anyone heard anything about Dolphins In Depth?

Live it up! Do the Segway Tour in EPCOT!

We are going to be there from the 19-27th at the Poly and getting married on the 21st (if anybody happens to see our ceremony and wants to take pictures feel free to send them my way hee hee hee) Does the Dolphins in Depth quest come with it? I thought that was a platinum tour?? Hmmm something new to look into. :Pinkbounc

In October we did the BAckstage Safari and loved it. My husband and I were able to touch a rhino, it was very cool :cool1: . I would highly recommended this tour.

me & my fiance have done the dolphins in depth at epcot & the backstage safari at animal kingdom both were awesome experiences. the dolphins in depth is an educational dolphin encounter, you view the living seas, go backstage, get suited up, view dolphins & trainers, then get in the aquarium about waist high & assist with tricks, pet the dolphins and get an awesome picture of your experience & some extras. the backstage safari was very cool as my fiance is pursuing his dvm. we have never seen an elephant or giraffe this close, it was amazing! you get to see a whole other side to ak & how it cares for their animals, there are also extras.

we definetly recommend these 2 tours & plan on doing them again soon.

ps. congratulations Bride2Be0705

We've done Keys to the Kingdom, Hidden Treasures of WS, Backstage Safari, Aqua Seas, and Dolphins in Depth. I've written reviews, if you use search you'll find them. Our favorites were Aqua Seas, Dolphins in Depth, and Backstage Safari, although all of them were great - we just really love animals:) 2 of them, Aqua Seas and Dolphins in Depth are only included in the Platinum Plan, which is no more:-( I believe Aqua Seas is $100/person and you get to snorkel in the Living Seas, Dolphins is around $150/person. Have a great time on the Gold Plan, it's a lot of fun!!!

Dolphins in Depth: Here's your chance to get up close and personal with a playful Dolphin. You’ll first explore the backstage areas where these amazing mammals are cared for and learn about the research being conducted at Epcot’s Living Seas pavilion. After this portion of the tour, you’ll enter into waist deep water to interact with these fascinating creatures. You’ll receive a photograph with the dolphin, refreshments and a T-shirt. PLEASE NOTE: No swimming or SCUBA diving is required. No cameras or jewelry are permitted and expectant mothers cannot participate. The dolphin determines the level of interaction.
