We were thinking about doing a tour next time we go what do you guys suggest? Or is there only 1 tour?

I've heard very good things about the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. The Discover the Magic one is aimed at smaller kids. Don't know much about the Haunt ones, other than it is obviously only available during the Halloween season.

The only one I can personally comment on is the Holiday one, and it was wonderful. We enjoyed it very much and based on our experience with that, would be more than willing to try another one. Worth every penny.

I never done one, but we are doing Discover the Magic in a week!

(I have DDs of 8 and 11)

I've done the Welcome to Disneyland tour and the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. I loved the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour the best, but I would only recommend it for adults or people who love Disney nostalgia.

How much are the tours?

Discover the Magic - Regular price for the first two guests is $59 per person (two person minimum). Regular price for any additional guests in the same party is $49 per person.

Walk in Walt's Footsteps - $59 per person

Welcome to Disneyland - $25 per person

All these are 20% off for AAA, DVC, AP or Disney Visa.

Do you have to book in advanced?
Can you book one when you are there?
Thanks

We booked Walking in Walts Footsteps tour a couple of days before at City Hall - we enjoyed it very much - one of our best days - we chose the afternoon tour - started around 2pm I think - except I think we chose one of the hottest days of the years - we did just fine though. It was even sweeter as we got our AP discount and there was only ourselves and a family of local Californians on the tour - everyone else probably thought it was too hot for a tour that day:rotfl:

whats the difference between walts tour and the magic one?

Discover the Magic is specifically geared towards kids.

Walk in Walts is more adult oriented.

You can book a tour up to 30 days in advance.

The Discover the Magic tour, from what I understand, is like a little scavenger hunt around the park. You get clues and wind up in a specific spot that will have a little "prize"

The Walk in Walt's Footsteps is more of a normal tour, and it includes lunch. You learn about Walt, the park, etc.

I believe the Welcome to Disneyland tour is no longer offered.

Some tours include going on rides without waiting in line, some include a meal or snack, etc. For example, on the Christmas tour, we got a gingerbread cookie and cocoa in a keepsake mug, fudge sample, a pin, and we got to get on IASW, HMH, and the train with no wait.

I am interested in the "Walk in Walt's Footsteps" tour. How long of a tour is it and what exactly (without spoiling too much) do you get to do during that time? Is it worth the money? Where do you get to eat? Do you get to choose which meal you'll have? Or do they just bring everybody something? I assume lunch is covered by the price of the tour? How many people are in an average sized group?
