:confused3 I'm planning ADR's for our August trip & know some are hard to get, so in what order should I ask for:

CRT
Le Cellier
Spirit of Aloha
Hollywood & Vine ( Fantasmic)
Sci-Fi Dine-In
Akershaus
Chefs De France
Boma (breakfast)
50's Prime Time

TIA for all your help!

That's a difficult one!

Le Cellier, CRT (you didn't say what meal), H+V Fantasmic Pkg, Spirit of Aloha

That would be my pick, but I guess it all comes down to what ones you can't live without!

the Fantasmic Package first if you really want to do it. With the reduced schedule it seems to be very difficult to get.

Le Cellier would be second.

You don't mention when you want to eat at CRT. If it's early morning the that probably needs to be up there. Lunch and dinner don't go as fast.

If CRT is lunch or dinner I would move Sci-Fi ahead of it. It's been a difficult ADR recently based on posts on this board.

I would go Askerhus and the Spirit of Aloha next.

A couple of other things to consider are; 1) if you are staying onsite, you can make up to ten days of ADRs 90 days from your check-in date - I usually also consider how late in the trip an ADR is when putting it in order and 2) how strongly you want to eat at a particular place.

I have the same question! Here are my (tentative) ADRs, plus alternates...(I can't call til next month)

LTT
Chef Mickey (1st choice - breakfeast and if not available, then for dinner)
Boma
Whispering Canyon/Ohana/Sci-Fi (can't make up our mind!!)

The only one that is a "must do" is LTT (DH's favorite and we're hoping to schedule that one on his birthday!). We've never done Sci Fi, Ohana or Boma and would like to try something new on this trip.

If anyone has any opinions (:rolleyes1) about choosing between Boma, WC, Ohana and Sci Fi, we'd be really interested in them. The UG pans Sci Fi but posters on this board seem to disagree. Has Sci Fi really improved that much in the last year or so? I think my DS, DD and DH would really enjoy the atmosphere. If we don't choose it for a dinner ADR, is it worth scheduling a late lunch ADR there for a hot fudge sundae or shakes?

The latest reviews for WC on the boards seem to indicate that the quality is going down. Darn it.

Boma may be a chancey pick for us because of the menu choices. But I've always wanted to try it. Then I remind myself that this trip is really about us as a family doing what we all want, not just what I want. LOL. And AKL is pretty far out - which might cut into our "parks" time. So, is it worth the trip out there with semi-picky eaters? (we'll have a car).

Other question - DH really wants to do a breakfast so we chose Chef Mickey. BUT (my thoughts here) it might be really neat to get an early ADR at Crystal Palace and get into MK early before it gets mobbed. (we'll be there mid August) Any opinions?? Which has better food? I'm not a big breakfast eater so I'm relying on the rest of you...:cheer2:

Thanks!!

We love Sci Fi, but I haven't done the others so really can't compare. We are thinking of 'Ohana or Boma this year, but I don't think we would like the food at Boma. Other than my husband we are not adventerous eaters. But I would like to AK lodge.:surfweb:

Disney Fiend
What do you love about Sci Fi? Is it the food, the atmosphere? If it's the food, what has been really really good? Can you give me some reasons to choose this one??:goodvibes

I already made my ADR's for my June trip and had a tough time deciding which ones to ask for first. I had CRT, Le Cellier, Fantasmic (Mama Melrose), 50's Prime Time, Teppan Edo, Chef Mickey's, 'Ohana and Crystal Palace. I decided ask for CRT first, Fantasmic second, Chef Mickey's third, Le Cellier fourth and the rest in no specific order. I prioritized by ordering what was most important reservation first. Although I REALLY wanted Le Cellier, I knew it wouldn't make or break the vacation for our 3 kids! I wound up getting Brown Derby for Fantasmic. Mama Melrose and H & V were sold out by 7:10!!! In retrospect, I think the Fantasmic packages go the quickest. If I were making the reservations again, I would book Fantasmic first. BTW, I never did get Le Cellier. :sad1:

Ohana dinner is my absolute favorite! We never book our trips far enough in advance to be able to call at 90 days so I always end up getting a really late reservation. So that would be my pick for you!

I didn't care for WCC but you should still give it a try because many people enjoy it. I think where you are seated and your server can make or break your experience there.

As for Boma, I think everyone can find something there. Its different but nothing strange at all. Especially breakfast - there is nothing too out of the ordinary there so maybe it would be a good pick. Definitely check out the AKL even if you don't end up making a reservation!

Have fun!

I'm also at the same point for our August (during Free Dining Trip). We're looking to book the following for 2 people:

Le Cellier
'Ohana (dinner)
Whispering Canyon (lunch or dinner)
Crystal Palace (lunch or dinner)
Garden Grill (dinner)
Boma or Tusker House (lunch or dinner)

What order would you put those in? Obviously Le Cellier first. If I'm going to Epcot on a non-EMH day, and am willing to go any time that day (lunch or dinner), and book right at 90 days out (it would be +2 that we'd be trying for), do I have any chance of getting it?

I appreciate any help on order to ask! Thanks!

in your case Le Cellier and then Ohana dinner. I don't think Whispering Canyon or Crystal Palace dinner will be a problem if you call around the 90 day mark. If you're fine with lunch at either place then there shouldn't be a problem at all.

Boma doesn't serve lunch so you would have to try dinner only there. Tusker House has a deal where a later lunch will get you priority seating for Nemo. The times have changed and I have no idea how this impacts ADRs. Usually these deals are done to fill seating at slower times.
