Okay I am confusing myself... I did two different threads and I am now finding myself replying to them with the same responses....

I am a teacher (first year) I am starting my master's program in Spring. My boyfriend and I went to Disney last January and stayed at ASMo (as of now I think that is where we will be staying again). My time off basically gave me the original idea of going to Disney in either April (Easter week) or July (week after the 4th).

My previous threads were a pole "April or July" and a more general "WDW in July?"... it seems that given the option people say I should go for April. Like I said the only thing holding me back a little is a couple reports of rain AND the fact that I only have a week off at that time.

From some people's suggestions I am now thinking of adding August to my choices... lol

Here are my main questions:
1- Is the crowd difference between Easter, July, and August significant? If so which is the least crowded?
2- If there is another free dining plan this August, even though it helps me save some money does it attract a lot more people and make anything unbearable (ie. table services, wait times, reservations)?
3- What is the weather like? I figure a little rain all the way around, more Springy in April more humid in Summer- is anything too horrible to have fun in spite of?
4- I have only been once and it was January and I don't want to spoil it by going at the wrong peak time so is there any of these three times where we will be able to just wander around, and not deal with fastpass running out at 10am and hordes of people all around? I am most afraid that one of us will say "this was much more fun in January".

Any tips, info, opinions and thoughts would be greatly appreciated! And thanks to everyone who responded to my first threads.

Well, it's hard to say which is worst. April is spring break, and generally, spring break is among the busiest times of WDW. Of course, the summer is just as bad - essentially, any time when kids are out of school, it's a bad time to go. The one advantage that April will have over July is the weather. April will be a little bit cooler than July. July, of course, will be unbearable, unless you are used to 90+ degrees with 90%+ humidity.

Free dining usually runs between August and September. This is Disney's way of drawing people back into the park after the summer rush dies down. I think any time after about the second week of August, you will notice a considerable difference in the crowds, getting lower and lower in number as the summer passes away. Generally, free dining just crowds the resturants, not the park so much.

Have you considered going during Thanksgiving? Or perhaps sometime during your winter break? Between Thanksgiving day and New Years is another really busy time for Disney, but shouldnt be as bad as the summer and spring months, if for no other reason than the weather is easier to manage.

January is when we made our last trip, and it was great, but I find that October is the best month to travel. Do you get a fall break before Thanksgiving? If so, you may want to look into that.

A lot of people have mentioned fall but out district is super strict about taking days off around holiday weekends. So even if we wanted to go on a 4 or 5 day weekend we would still have only those 4 or 5 days minus plane trips. We went in January when we did because we knew we probably wouldn't get a chance to go during that time again and if we did it would probably be after we have kids. I feel like I am starting to lean more towards August again- how is the weather? It is the hottest month of the year here in NY is the heat and humidity worse any time of the summer? LoL... I am a just full of questions.
