For next week, we have two options: around 11:00 or wait till evening around 6:30 (after FOTLK).
11 would be better in order to get more FP. During mid-day the animals may not be as active as they would compared to first thing in morning or at dusk.
That was my main concern - what time will the animals be most active.
Each time of day finds different combinations of animals more prominent.
That was why I suggested to try riding at different times.

I remember considering that on my first trip so went with a really early (unnecessary?) FP+. On other trips I made them at different times. I really think it makes no difference; it is the same enjoyable ride every time so choose the time that works best for you. For me, that would definitely be the 11:00amThat was my main concern - what time will the animals be most active. So 11 would be better than 6-7?

We always hit it at rope drop, get a mid-morning FP, and now we also add the Tiffins FOLK package every trip. We also get an afternoon FP on our 2nd AK day. This is my favorite ride at WDW.I would say the earlier time. I love Safari and usually go twice. Sometimes 3 times. It is my favourite attraction at AK.
Agreed! if you can, do both times, if not, I'd recommend 11am - you'd be almost to that mid afternoon time when animals are lazing around but not quite. Each time of day finds different combinations of animals more prominent.
