Which tickets are discounted with the AP?

Hi Everyone

I did search but couldn't find the answer to this. If I buy an AP for Universal I believe it gets some sort of discount on other entrance tickets. I have a family of 5 would the AP get a discount on the $89.99 tickets and if not which tickets would it get a discount on and how much would the discount be?

I can answer this question! I was at Universal last week (yes, I know, still need to finish trip report) and the answer is NO.
I bought a preferred AP online and then looked everywhere and asked everyone also (thanks, Metro) and still could not get a discount on other passes. I ended up buying the 7 day/2 park unlimited for $81 (or something like that).

I did have three adults (daughter is 13) and one child if that helps.

I just called and the rep said that even with the 15% AP discount, the 7 day unlimited ticket is still a better deal.
