We are taking the train from Maine on June 6th. I am trying to find info on a reliable taxi service that doesn't cost too much. (I'm cool with under $40, but would love $30). We need 2 booster seats as well. Who is reliable, and who is near the train station in Kissimmee? Thank you.

I don't think you will find anything under $40.00 from Kissimmee, especially needing 2 booster seats. The local taxis, they probably aren't carrying your booseters, who are there when the train comes in may do it for that price, but I wouldn't bank on it. The going price is roughly $50.00 from the Amtrac station in Kissimmee. Stopping in Orlando you might find a metered cab would run you about $35.00 to WDW, and give it a little extra if the hotel is on the south side of Disney.

Hi!We will be traveling from VT to WDW on June 27th and after 10 trips have decided to rent a car due to the high costs of cabs and cars.Years ago I always took cabs but now it is so high! Please search out my recent post on transport and you can see all of the prices I was quoted from train station to wdw.I rented with Hertz who has a site right at the orlando station.

We train alot and get off in Kissimmee and 6 years ago, cab fare to WL ran us 38.00 plus tip one way. It was a checkered or yellow cab but smelling of smoke and dirty. We persued to find a car service from then on. Back then car service ran us 88 bucks round trip and a free grocery stop. This past January, with the inflation and rising gas prices, seems car services have gone up and we paid 120.00 round trip with a free 30 minute grocery stop. Others swear by having a car, we feel it's an unneeded expense. We stay on property and never leave, Disney transportation has suited us fine for 42 trips. They are there to meet the train, no matter how late, we've never been charged or left waiting, the 30 minute grocery stop, Publix's with a liquor store next door is a god send. Using a cab and having them stop and wait while shopping will far exceed the car service so we feel 120 dollars round trip is not out of line. We're the kind that after traveling 1200 miles by train, we do not want any surprises or have to look around for transportation or play the rental price game. We like the driver standing with our name on a card, gets our luggage, has the transportation running and cool and can easily be reached by phone is any problems occur. We've used the same service for the past 5 years with no problems what so ever and will continue to do so, one less headache to worry about in our travels.

I found a link to sejac transportation on another board. They said they'd track the train schedule so that you'd be picked up on time. They have booster seats as well. He quoted me $40 one way, but you pay for round trip when your picked up. Is this standard. And what do you pay for tip? Thank you.

That is a good price and Sejak transportation will take care of you. Sejak drives a checker van and is a Mears Transportation vehicle.

Thanks Edd, I will confirm with him tonight then. Phew, I just want to make sure we don't get stuck at the train station! Have a good night. Linda
