Which studio please?

Looking to rent points for the first time. I want to keep the price down so it looks like it’s between AKL,Old Key West , orBoardwalk. View isn’t important, but 2 real beds are. It will be myself, wife, 2 teenage daughters. Last time we stayed in Pop Century and loved it. Can you recommend what one is better and if the have 2 beds, not a sofa bed. Thanks

If that's your criteria, you're probably better off with cash hotel room bookings. Only OKW meets your criteria, and that's two queen size beds.

Tons of cash rooms offer two real beds. There's even CB 5-sleeper with two beds and a Murphy.

Ok thanks for letting me know. Pops second bed is a Murphy bed and it was fine, I’m just trying to stay away from fold out sofas. I’ve never found one of those that are comfortable.

It also sounds like you are counting on AKV Value or BWV Standard, and neither is a likely rental booking, above and beyond the fact that neither has two real beds.

Both categories are very small (limited unit availability) and book very quickly at the 11 month window.

Ok that makes sense. I had no idea the numbers were so small. It looks like I will wait for this offer to drop in January and maybe just book a value resort package.

Between OKW and AKL which one do you prefer? Is David’s point sight the one most people use or is the another one you recommend?

SSR should have all rooms refurbished by this summer which means the studios will now have the Murphy bed like Pop. A week in July is also 106 points. I know SSR wasn’t in the OP, but it is one of the cheaper ones with a Murphy bed for a second bed now too.

You do get the free airport transportation typically you will have the member set it up for you.

I have not stayed at OKW but AKL is an amazing resort. There is always a small chance at getting a partial savanna view even if you rent a standard room. In addition there are viewing decks and such to watch the savanna from other areas of the resort. Both of them will have bussing to the resorts but AKV really only has 2 quick stops where OKW will have multiple stops as the resort is very spread out.

David's is good for finding how many points a stay is. It will not have availability though for that you will want to find a member to rent from and have them check. I would highly recommend hitting up the rental part of this forum and there is a couple FAQs and such about things to be aware of prior to renting.

Note that at AKV you need to book a 2BR to get 2 real beds. The studios are a queen bed and a sleeper sofa. OKW is the only option for a studio with 2 real beds. I'd add SSR preferred view studio as an option as the new refurb there gives you a queen bed and a murphy bed instead of the sleeper sofa. I would not chance standard view there yet until they announce the refurb is completed.

Personally I could not recommend David's following their actions during the resort closures. I'd recommend watching the rental boards here for points for rent offers. Read the rules on that board which should offer insight into renting.
