I have seen the menu's at Deb's site. Now I even more confused.

I'm leaning towards the N.Y. Strip. But the Filet looks good 2.

I almost always get the filet. We have eaten at Le Cellier five or six times in the past two years. I have never been disappointed.

Reasons I get the filet:

By far the best cut of meat. (IMO)

There's so much other food to eat, and the filet is a little bit smaller. (Mixed greens salad with a fabulous vinaigrette dressing with pecans and crumbled bleu cheese, the famous cheddar cheese soup, and - my personal favorite - the warm breadsticks, especially the pretzel bread, mmmmmmmm)

Gotta' save room for dessert! ;)

I thought that the garlic mashed potatoes looked yummy. ;) ;) I also thought that the new york strip would be too much to eat, since Dh and I share meals. I want to try the Spring roll and the chedder cheese soup and of course have room for sweets.

I'm getting hungry.... Think I will have to check Deb's menus and hopefully we will be able to fit LeCelliers into one of our upcoming trips. We will be tied up with family for much of our Thanksgiving trip but in March we will have almost 2 weeks to enjoy all that Disney has to offer. I think we may leave the kids (10 & 11) behind for this dinner.

I like Le Cellier very much, but it is definitely not my favorite place at WDW to have steak, however I have always had good meals there. I go to Le Cellier mainly for the cheese soup but I also have enjoyed the burgers, sandwiches, filet and salads and a wonderful dish that they unfortunately no longer make --Vension Oscar, which was outstanding. Personally, I like a thick cut of beef because I like my beef medium rare and juicy and Le Cellier's NY strip steak is not thick at all, go for the filet it is much better.

so DeeP where is your favorite place for a steak??? thanks

I have had excellent steaks at:
Flying Fish - the seared NY strip steak is wonderful
Brown Derby- the filet is great
Jiko- the filet over macaroni & cheese is excellent
Yachtsmen Steakhouse- always have an excellent filet
Concourse Steakhouse-good filet also but noisy atmosphere
If I had to just pick 1 from the above list it would be Flying Fish because it is a seared steak, nice and thick and juicy and I love the sauce that comes with it. But I enjoy steaks at all of the above restaurants, all are excellent. I have also tried Shulas and was not overly thrilled for the price but it seems as though Shulas is getting rave reviews from people that I respect their opinions and generally seem to have the same tastes in WDW restaurants as they do, so maybe for our Dec trip we will give Shulas another try. It will be excatly one year after our orginal visit to Shulas so it should be interesting and I will make sure to report back our dining review.
