Which spa and which services after several exhausting park days?

My wife and I will be at WDW in January and I thought she'd enjoy a visit to one of the spas. She enjoys things like facials and manicures, but after a couple of long days walking around the parks, I thought she'd probably prefer a massage and something that focuses on the feet.
I see that the GF has a "Soothing, Tired legs treatment". Has anyone had this? Or would something like a swedish massage already spend some time on the feet?

I thought the Mandara spa looked nice too. Any treatments there that would be good for tired feet and body after long park days?

It's hard for me to tell what all is involved in the treatments by reading the descriptions. So any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Subscribing to this thread because I'd like to know about this, too! :sunny:

We just got back last week and DH had both the hot stone massage and a personalized type of deep tissue massage at the Spa at Saratoga Springs. (I had a mom to be one but it doesn't seem like that's the kind you're interested in ;) )
He loved both of his massages. Plus you also get use of the sauna, steam room, and hot tub. The spa is really nice and tranquil. I haven't been to the one at GF or at the Mandara but I did really like the one at SSR- one of the nicest I've been to. There's also water, tea, and fruit for free while you wait and relax and you aren't hurried at all. They recommend you get there at least a 1/e hour early so you can take your time before your massage.

SSR also looked nice. The only reason I was looking more at GF and Mandara is because I thought it would be convenient to take the kids to MK or Epcot for a few hours while she was at the spa, then meet her when she was done.

I'm not a real spa afficiando, but the one service that has captured my interest is a peppermint pedicure at Saratoga Springs. It sounds like just the thing to revive my aching feet after a few days of pounding the park pavement. Anyone try that yet?

My BF and I had the aromatherapy treatments at GF's spa, and it was a great way to relax. We got to unwind in a hot bath that relaxed our muscles, then we had massages. I thought a whole body massage would feel better than just the feet or legs, because walking around so much and getting in and out of park rides also stresses your back and shoulders.

We really enjoyed the GF spa, but the Mandara spa looks so wonderful that I may try it for our next trip. :)

Putting my vote in for Saratoga Springs! I went here by myself in January as a Christmas present from my husband. Now it's a "MUST-DO" on my list for every trip we take! :cloud9: Transportation isn't a problem depending on the time of the appointment. I made the mistake of making mine too early in the morning, and had to take a taxi there since the buses weren't running yet. (We were staying at the boardwalk). For the next trip, I'm planning on just going with DH and the kids to MK, then leaving them there, and taking the SSR bus to the resort, then meeting back up with them when I'm finished. I think it'll be easier in the end.

Also, you can go to www.relaxedyet.com for a list of the services and prices they offer.

She'll have a great time!! :thumbsup2

I loved the Grand Floridian Spa last March. I had a full massage and it was wonderful. I would highly reccomend it. Plan to have her arrive early for her visit to enjoy the hottub and such ahead of time. They also had tea, water, fruit, and such to relax as you waited. I had the shorter massage and was pushing it to leave within 2 and 1/2 hours of arriving- I got there 30 minutes early. I had to get out to meet a group for dinner or I would have stayed longer.

Thanks everyone. I have looked at relaxedyet, but some of the descriptions are pretty brief. If everyone thought SSR was nicer than the others, the transportation could be worked out. But my wife would probably be stressed trying to get there on her own, so I thought wherever I make an appointment, we'd all go there, then I'd take the kids to do something else until she was done. We'll have a car, so that's not an issue.

Any more opinions are appreciated.

Thanks

if you'll have a car it's even easier. And you can take the kids to any of the parks by bus (or car). The busstop at SSR is close to where the spa is (if I'm remembering correctly)
