Which song lyrics have you misheard?

Highway to Hell. I thought it had a racial slur but it turns out I was wrong.

Don’t spill the reefer instead of don’t fear the reaper.

Just like the white window instead of the white winged dove.

Take me down to the very last city instead of paradise city. To name a few.

When I was real little. Oh say can you see by the Daunzer Lee Light. It may have even been Jose can you see. I don't really quite remember

Until a few years ago I had no idea the song was Barbara Ann by The Beach Boys. I always thought they were saying bopper ann like it was just some happy song

The title of this thread reminded me of "Dharma and Greg". Does anyone remember that show? Greg was always singing the lyrics to songs wrong "She's a Black Magic Woman and she's trying to take a pebble out of me".
The closest I ever came to miss-hearing the words to a song was in "Walk on the Wild Side". Did she really do that in the back room?

When I was little, listening to Duran Duran's "Hold Back the Rain," I thought the lyric was "No time for wearing clothes, we're on the road again." It's "No time for worry cause we're on the roam again."

My favorite ones that I've heard misquoted, and now I can't unhear...The Clash's "Rock the Casbah" as "Stop the Catbox," and Elton John's "Bennie and the Jets"..."She's got electric boobs, her ma has two."

As a kid I thought that "Lady in Red" was "Medium Rare"

Also in the Yes cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "America", I always misheard "M*ch*gan seems like a dream to me now" as "Chicken seems like a dream to me now."

Mine is "Lock the Taskbar" lol! I know it doesn't really sound like it, but many years ago I was working at a bank and our computers were being wonky and we had to lock the taskbars and for some reason that just stuck in my head with that music.

"Pancakes don't fix bullet holes" (instead of "Bandaids don't fix bullet holes") Taylor Swift's Bad Blood

I know there are a lot more, but that's all I can think of right now.

I'm hot-blooded, chicken of the sea.

That doesn't make any sense at all, but that's what I thought the song was.

Two from the contemporary christian field:

It's a Hard Love, the part where they are practically shouting: It's a hard love, it's a hard love....I keep hearing "It's a HONDA, It's a HONDA"
&
Say Goodbye to My Down Cast Soul sounds like "Say goodbye to my down castle"

Not me, but one of my teachers in high school thought ‘Seduce Me Tonight’ from Flashdance was ‘See Lucy Tonight’ and would sing the chorus all the time till she was informed of the real lyrics by her kids.

My daughter was young when the song Soul Sister from Train came out. One day, I heard her singing it and realized she was singing Slow Sister. When I questioned her about it, she gave me a look of empathy and said, “You know, Mom, slow sister,” as though the song was about a sister with mental deficits.

I LOVED that show! The whole time he was on Criminal Minds, I referred to him as Greg Montgomery.

An oldie: "I'd Really Like to See You Tonight." by England Dan & John Ford Coley. I could never get the line:

I'm not talking about moving in
And I don't want to change your life

I always thought it was, "I'm not talking about the millennium."

Some of mine:

Blinded by the light
Wrapped up like a douche
Another roller in the night

I thought it was, "Wrapped up like a deuce."
