Which snorkel tour in Nassau?

We're trying to decide between the Caribbean Queen Snorkel Tour and the Catamaran Sail and Reef Snorkeling Excursion.

Please tell me which one I should choose. It will be me, DH, and DS.

I'm leaning towards the Caribbean Queen one, simply because it is shorter, and it begins later in the day. *But* if the other one has better snorkeling, I'd certainly change. The price difference isn't enough to influence my decision.

Good and bad experience posts are welcome!

I just posted a description of our experience with the Carribean Queen last week under the post title Attn: JulieWent. It was a lot of fun. I spent about two months trying to decide between the two also. In the end, I'm glad I took the CQ tour because it was really windy while we were there. I was afraid that would have affected the Sail and Snorkel.

In June 2003, we did the catamaran sail and snorkel. It was great. We were back around 1 which left us plenty of time for lunch, getting cleaned up, a shopping trip to the straw market all by 5:00 for our spa appointment!

Thanks for posting the question. We (myself, DH, DS(12) & DD(10)) are going on our first cruise next month!! I'm trying to decide between the same two excursions. I'm leaning toward the catamaran sail and snorkel trip because it starts earlier, but I'm wondering if that would also mean it would be cooler in the water. That would be a deterrent for me. I hate to be cold. My DS hates to be hot. I doubt that May weather will be too extreme either way, but I also doubt the water will be all that warm yet.

The AM Catamaran Sail/Snorkel has alot of fish and coral to see. The sail back was fun, especially sitting in the "net" in the bow. There is a small shaded cabin below, but riding there makes me seasick. I think the Carribean Queen is a larger boat.

Inflatable "horse collar" vests are provided. I always bring my own foam boating vest, it is warmer.
