Which should I spend my money on?

OK, we are basically a family of non planners, but we do have a brief, half planned itinerary which is subject to change.

So should I spend my money on TGM, or UG2007? We have UG 2004.

Any ideas welcome

I would say UG 2007 if you are going to buy one. However, UG 2004 is not worlds apart from UG 2007 so what I do is rent it out of our library for free, glance over the new stuff and photocopy the touring plans. This saves me money.

Our library doesn't keep copies of it so that's not an option

I don't know too much about the features of TGM which is why I'm asking. The UG is great for reading and getting excited over, though

I was also going to suggest the library, at our's you can request a book and if they can't get it from another library they'll order for you!!

I'll vote for TGM, and I also like RideMax to help you schedule your specific touring plans. I buy all of them every time, but I have used TGM twice and find it very informative and a lot of fun for compulsive planners!

I've used both, and I prefer TGM because it's always up-to-date. UG is, unfortunately, out of date the moment it's printed because Disney is always changing things, while TGM adjusts based on any changes that are announced.

Either way, though, I'm sure you'll have a great trip!

I have bought both this year. If you choose one, make it TGM.

Make that another vote for TGM. We've planned trips using both UG and TGM. I found our TGM trip more relaxing when we instituted his tips and strategies. UG had us running around a bit more in commando style fashion.

Only for touring plans? Probably TGM.

But, if you want it for all the other info...UG. We used both on the last trip, and having the UG physically in the suit case came in handy more than once, specifically when we wanted to add a day and find a hotel near by. TGM was of little use at that point.

As for the updates, touringplans.com will have updates to the book as needed.
