OK, here's the scoop. I just got back from Disneyland last night and I see that the AP rates are out. I took my Daughter (2 1/2) and she had a blast! I am planing on going to Walt Disney World 10/26 thru 10/31. I will be getting one room to share with my elderly father and my daughter. We plan to spend one day in each park and Downtown Disney (no water parks). We have tickets to MNSSHP one night, PS for CRT, plan on getting a first haircut at MK and want to see all the big shows (parades, fireworks,Fantasmic etc..). We will have our own car so transportation is not really an issue. Our choice is the standard room $143.84 at the Animal Kingdom or the woods view $167.25 at the Wilderness lodge (tax included). Which should I do? Any little input would be helpful! Thank you.:D

It sounds as if you are going to spend significant time in the parks and therefore AK, especially at the lower rate, seems to be the better choice. If you are going to spend significant time at the resort then I would go with WL. Both are well themed - the best at WDW - but we think that WL is more amenable to relaxation. My guess is that your child would prefer AK and your father would prefer WL. If you HAD to rely on Disney Transportation AK would be the choice.

We prefer WL and our kids enjoy it because of the water mice and Cub's Den.

Hi. I'll bet a lot of people are going to say WL b/c you're doing a lot at MK, but I would still recommend AKL b/c of its uniqueness. I think all ages would benefit from it and it supposedly has excellent bus servie. So long as you plan ahead for the commute to, for example, MK, I think things will work beautifully and you will have experienced a terrific Disney resort. Don't think you can go wrong either way, however...Have fun!!

I had the same choice for almost the same dates (10/27 - 11/2) and decided on AKL. Having visited both I think my preference would have been for WL but there will be other trips and I think a little extra money in the pocket can always make a difference. I'm not too worried about the parking lot view. I will expect the worst possible view and probably be pleasantly surprised.
