Looking to surprise DD for her graduation/birthday/off to college celebration at WDW. So while DH and our 2 DS go golfing, I want to plan a mom and me spa day. Any difference between the GF and SS spas? Also, she turns 18 a week after our trip....according to the website, under 18 must be accompanied by an adult during their treatments. Are they really strict, like will they ask for an ID? The only time we will be separated would be during the massage. Do you think they would make an exception where her birthday is so close? Thanks.

I don't know about those two spas, but I do know there is a huge difference in price with those two compared to shades of green, Mongolia spa, which takes civilians. If you go there ask for Johny he is amazing. I can't answer your second question either since my niece is only 9 last year and she got her nails done while we got messages, they did not make us stay with her for her pedi and mani. If you don't know where SOG is, it is across from the poly, depending on where your resort is, get off the monorail and head out the door passed the quick service restaraunt, there are signs, it is about a five minute walk to SOG. If they stop you tell them you have an appt at magnolia spa and they may ask for ID at the gate but will let you through. The other way to get there is to take a free taxi to the golf course, well they golf we walk thru the side enterance of SOG and go for a spa. All golfers can use shades of green, actually every time we go we see lots of golfers come in the back enterence to the little snack shack in the back of SOG.

I dot know about GF but DH treated me to a 2 hr massage at Senses and it was INCREDIBLE. The 18 yr old thing can possibly be a liability issue - maybe ask if yip can be in the same room? DH and I have done couple massages and after a few I forgot he was in same room lol

thanks for the info. So when I did call, I was told that because she will not be 18, ( by 1 week) I would need to accompany her during treatments. So I requested the massage for two, but she said, no because I would not be able to "observe" if I would also be getting a massage. So I asked, then, do I just sit in a chair the whole time? wouldn't that be a bit awkward? She replied, according to Disney's policy, yes, I have to be there, full attention, while she has her treatment. Not sure what to do.
