Can someone please help me out, we are leaving in 2 weeks for the AKL and I am looking for some input as to which of the Savannahs might be the best, as in to see the most animals. I can't seem to get the search feature to work, so any help would be great. Would like to fax a request in this week.
A recent post suggested requesting Arusha savanna. You can also request zebra or kudu trail, if you have a preference for a particular side of the resort, but be sure to request Arusha (or a view of the inside of the "horseshoe"). Here is a link to the thread. It was very helpful!
If requesting Arusha savannah, I would also include a request to be at the far end of the hall. Being on the inside of the horseshoe also means being on the main hallway. If you are close to the lobby there is A LOT of foot traffic going by those rooms (especially 2nd and 3rd floors.) It can be quite noisy, especially early mornings and park closing times. We preferred being on one of the offshoot hallways. In other words, we did not have a view of Arusha Rock. Our room was 2nd floor, 2551 & 2553, Zebra Trail. The "people pen" was to the left of our room. I did not feel it detracted from our view at all, but I know some people are upset with it. I much preferred the quiet, less traveled hall that our room opened to. Just thought I'd throw that thought out at you!
