Which saint has a saw? Not sure why the dude has a saw. :confused3

Saint Joseph is the Patron Saint of Carpenters. Could he be the dude you saw? :rotfl2:
Saint Thomas, the Apostle is the Patron Saint of Construction.

Take your pick! :thumbsup2

To clarify, I didn't personally see the dude. :rotfl:

Must be him...a friend of mine loaned her mom's Saint Joseph to someone to bury in her mom's yard when she was selling the house. The house sold...kudos to the Saint..., but the friend then forgot where she'd buried it. A replacement was bought to give to the original owner of the saint, but instead of holding Jesus as the packaging said, he was holding a saw and a plane (not the Boeing kind ;) ) and the original Saint owner quickly figured out it wasn't her saint she was getting back. :rotfl2: We were wondering who the mysterious dude was.

Isn't that as clear as mud? :lmao:

Did you not have enough faith in me that you couldn't of texted me with this question? :rotfl2:
Thanks for clarifying that you actually didn't see the dude! I thought maybe you were having visions or something!
Was saint owner forgiving of the fact that her saint was lost and she now had a replacement saint? The people that lost the dude should of prayed to Saint Anthony of Padua. He's the saint of lost articles.
There is really just about a saint for anything! http://www.catholic.org/saints/patron.php

You're right...what was I thinking? :rotfl2:

The original owner still wants the Jesus holding saint back. :) I saw the replacement dude tonight....not really the saint, but the litte statue thingy that was on her windowsill...and he is not holding the correct house-selling item. :confused3

I'll forgive you this time! I'm sure it won't happen again!
They better get busy praying to Tony-Boy! So how big exactly was Jesus when he was in Joseph's arms? was this when Jesus was a baby? That would make sense since Saint Joseph was Mary's (mother of Jesus) DH!

FYI, Alana has now bookmarked the Catholic.org site. She is fascinated and going through all the patron saint dudes and dudettes!

I'm thinking he was a baby....would look odd having a full-grown Jesus being held by Joseph.

:rotfl: re: the dudes and dudettes

St. Joseph the Worker is the statue of St. Joseph leaning on a table with a saw in his hand. It's to symbolize his life as a carpenter. Other St. Joseph statues show him holding flowers in one hand and the Infant Jesus in the other. St. Joseph homeseller kits come in both styles - so that may be where the confusion is coming from. Both St. Josephs are the same St. Joseph, if that makes any sense.
