Hi!

I'm booked in at the WL for this month but don't know what room requests to make! I have one week in a courtyard view room and one week in a woods view. What do you all recommend?!

Cheers,

For the Woods View Room, Request North Side of the Building on a High Floor (5 or 6) You might get to see the castle and Wishes.

I don't know about the courtyard

We had CV inner courtyard room 6039. great view of the pool lake and geyser.

This is a great room. If you click on the link below, there is a section on the Wilderness Lodge, including pictures of the room and the view. The view is wonderful, as you have a clear view of the castle, the lagoon & the upper floors of the Contemporary.

I love the Wilderness Lodge and it's my favorite resort on property!!!

Don't the 6th floor rooms have solid balconies where you have to stand-up to see out? I've stayed at WL several times, but have never been on the 6th floor, just curious about the balcony.

Ours didn't. We had the same table and chairs to watch the fireworks from. We were in 6082.

Some of the balconies on the sixth floor are inclosed, these are located on the North & South Wings furthest from the Lobby. The seventh floor only extends halfway down the building, where the seventh floor ends the balconies on the sixth floor are then inclosed, this is just an architectural feature to give the resort the correct appearance.

We stayed in the "Bear's Face" the last time. It was great - the balcony looked over the pool, courtyard and lake while the door opened out overlooking the lobby. We love lobby rooms there. Our least favorite are the rooms looking over at the Villas. Boring.

I just returned yesterday, and let me first say that this was about my 20th stay at the WL. Make sure you don't get a room with an enclosed balcony, they are mostly on the 7th floor and some on the 6th floor also some of the end rooms facing the lake. It's not that the rooms are bad it's just that you cannot sit and enjoy the view you have to stand, I always thought they would be great rooms for someone with small children since you wouldn't have to fear them climbing over the rails. Also this past visit was by far my worst, they put me in a room looking down at Artist Point restaurant and for some reason they decided to pressure clean the windows of the restaurant at 1206 am!! Yes you read that correctly! I thought it was raining out until I went out on the balcony and saw it with my own eyes, not to mention the beep beep beep of the bucket thing they were using to be up high enough to do the windows! I just cannot believe that Disney would be doing that kind of work at a hotel in the middle of the night! It never dawned on me to call down stairs and complain, I think I was half awake! But I did complain about it in the morning............I was offered late check out....la de da. Oh well it won't stop me from staying there again but you would think they would know better.
