Which rides to avoid due to motion sickness?

So, I am good on all roller coasters, but at WDW I cannot stomach Star Tours or the Tea Cups. Which rides at DL & CA should I avoid? TIA!! :)

It really depends on what triggers your motion sickness. I get very motion sick but the smoother movements are what get me - the bumpy ones really don't. I can't do Soarin' but the tea cups don't bother me and I can also do Matterhorn but BTMRR gets me every time (I still ride it though :) ).

Star Tours, Silly Symphony Swings, Tea Cups, Golden Zephyr, or anything else that spins or goes around. The majority of my family members can't do spinning rides due to motion sickness sensitivity.

I haven't heard of people getting motion sickness on Soarin' (my family can handle it), but maybe that too since it's sort of simulated

Soarin will not bother you because your seat does not move. All you need to do is close your eyes if the simulation bothers you. I cannot do Star Tours and I almost got sick on Space Mountain. Indy, Thunder Mountain, and Pirates do not bother me.

I guess it depends on what triggers it for you. I can’t do the submarines because the enclosed space coupled with the moving window scenes gets me headachy and sick. I have no trouble with roller coasters. I wouldn’t do the tea cups because I know that will bother me. The changes to Soarin’ might bother me though I’ll be giving it a one time try when I go in July.

My motion sickness is triggered by simulation rides (and excessive spinning)....so no Star Tours, Indiana Jones or Tea Cups for me.

The only thing I've gotten sick on at DLR are the swinging cars on Mickey's Fun Wheel. I know that Star Tours and even Soarin' make some other people sick though. If up and down stuff bugs you, avoid Guardians.

If it's mostly spinning that sets you off, along with the ones mentioned previously (Tea Cups), I would also add Mater's Junkyard Jamboree. Depending on your level of tolerance, you might want to avoid Silly Symphony Swings (I can't do Tea Cups or Mater's, but the Swings are right on my edge of okay - I close my eyes when it starts to get too much). There is also Golden Zephyr, Dumbo, and Astro Orbitors (the last is the worse, I can do the first two). There is an unexpected spin at the end of Luigi's (a few rotations). Roger Rabbit Car-Toon spin also has a fair amount of spinning (you can add more spin, but there is a minimum amount that can't be avoided).

Star Tours and Soaring.....you can close your eyes if you start to feel nausea. Indy is not spinning or simulation. Tea cups is a whole 'nother story!! Aside from Tea Cups, Space Mt. and Screamin' bothered me the most.

oh, yeah, forgot about Astro Orbiters.....yikes! NO. I personally don't even consider the Swings, either, but Mater and Luigi's have been ok.
(though, I do take a Meclizine tablet in the morning!! better safe than sorry!!)

Jerky rides make me feel motion sickness/car sick. So Space, Indy and Star Tours can be a challenge for me. Indy is worse when sitting in the back row, same with Star Tours. If you can sit in the middle rows of Star Tours, avoiding the back row and specifically the back row aisle seats you might manage better.

One that gives me a headache and vertigo issues that has not been mentioned yet, is TSMM. I know part of it is due to the 3D effect (I can no longer do any rides or movies with 3D so ST is very much out for me nowadays) but it is also in combination of the whip around that the ride vehicle does when it moves you from screen to screen. Both of those things combined usually gives me a severe headache, especially if I ride it back to back with no time in between.

For me I cannot do Star Tours (even taking motion sickness medication) or the tea cups. I have avoided the ferris wheel and Soarin' because I am afraid they will make me feel unwell too but I am not sure if they will or not. Any of the other rides, I don't have much of a problem with.

TSMM- yes, I agree. I forgot to add Goofy's Sky School. That makes me sick and I am terrified of that ride. :)

I get horrible motion sickness, and try to stay away from anything that spins to much. I am ok on roller coasters, and soarin is ok for me. I have never done star tours but I know it will get me. I also can't do tea cups, I also find that Indiana Jones makes me feel a little icky but I still do it. Space mountain the past couple trips has got me too. I just do it once a trip now and call it good..

Oh I forgot about Goofys! Same idea, very jerky and sharp, quick turns. No avoiding it on this ride - I do it once and then that's it! DD can do these rides over and over again with no adverse effects. Oh to be young again!

I generally stay away from spinning rides. Dumbo is gentle enough that I can get by, and I thought Mater's would be terrible, but I braved it once and I'm actually fine on it. Teacups are right out. I couldn't even do those when I was younger. Up-and-down is also a bad thing for me, so I avoided ToT after a couple of rides and have yet to go on GotG. Maybe if it's my last ride and I can immediately go home and rest? Screamin'/Incredicoaster is a once-a-trip thing, and even then I need to sit down for a while when I get off. Space Mountain is usually once-a-day, but I got really sick on it on my last day on my last trip, so it might be a once-a-trip one from now on. :( Star Tours and TSMM make me a little oogy, but I can stand it.

I take meclizine and have added the motion sickness patch recently.

Roger Rabbit Car-Toon spin also has a fair amount of spinning (you can add more spin, but there is a minimum amount that can't be avoided).

It IS possible to ride Roger Rabbit without spinning! If you hold onto the wheel in the middle very firmly and fight it, the spinning can be avoided. It does take lots of effort and strength!
