Here now, parks open at 10:00. Wondering what to expect. With our flight delay Friday we pretty much avoided the rain other than last nights fireworks. Does RSR run in rain? TIA

IDK about RSR although I think if it's wet enough it can close but when we were in DL this past Friday, they closed Alice, Tea Cups & Storybook canal boats because of the rain.

Any attraction with outdoor elements can close if there is enough rain (long enough and heavy enough). My general rule of thumb is that if there is enough rain to have standing water on the track, the attraction will close. Tea Cups will not re-open until the ground inside the attraction dries. So if it's been raining hard enough, it might not re-open that day - I was there once when the rain had stopped, but there was standing water on the ground between the cups, so they couldn't re-open for the entire day. RSR can close if it's raining.

Friday the 3rd? We were there that day as well. Another person told me she was in line when Alice closed and received FPs for another attraction. She also said one of the vehicles slipped off the track resulting in the shutdown. I never did get to ride Alice.

Yep we rode it first thing after rope drop then did Tea Cups & Storybook Canal boats all of which closed later that morning due to the rain. :/ We were super glad we rode them first thing!

We never did get to the Tea Cups or Storybook Canal boats either. I don't mind missing the Tea Cups, but WDW didn't have the other two when we went 7 years ago. (wry grin)

I booked a PPO at Plaza Inn for breakfast on Friday. I can't recall what ride we did first after breakfast but I suspect it was Peter Pan. It was suppose to be a 30 min wait but stopped for at least 20 mins while we were in line.

Bummer about PP! The line was through the castle doors first thing last Friday & didn't feel like wasting precious early morning hours & instead hit up Alice, Tea Cups & Storybook before the downpour of rain closed them & then hit the rest of Fantasyland minus PP. We were generously gifted 8 front of the line passes by a CM in City Hall for any attraction & we choose to use it on PP instead of waiting 50 mins. :)

Last Friday in light sprinkle at DCA: Rollickin' Roadsters never opened. Sky School opened for a bit, between sprinkles but was closed any time there was active sprinkles.

Wow how on earth did you score that many front of the line passes? That's amazing :)

Nice on the FPs! I sure wish my son & I were given a couple of FPs for Radiator Springs and Soarin' after a CM took us to First Aid. We were on our way there when I fell. By the time I spent 2-3 hours icing my hand and getting to Costco to fix my glasses it was 7:30 pm. :( By then I couldn't stand the thought of a wait. We bought sundaes at Ghirelladi, some minor purchases and left. Watched the fireworks from the hotel.

We've ridden RSR in the pouring rain but did have a long wait to get on because the ride shut down 3 or 4 times before we finally got on. It was so much fun though.

Sorry I never responded to this! Basically I did something stupid & lost some of our groups park tickets when trying to get FP's. The CM at City Hall felt bad for me that I was missing out on rides with my family waiting in line 30 mins+ to fix my mistake & added 4 passes good for any attraction to two of our tickets for our group of 8 plus my 2 year old. :)
