My vote is definitely for CG. We went to Citricos in 2005 and CG this year, and there really was no comparison to me. CG was hand down the winner between the two. I try to go to all new (to me or my group) restaurants as much as I can when we go, but I have vowed that i will from now on go to CG every trip.

They're both good, so you'll be happy with either one, but CG is much better to me. This is based on the food primarily (the quality was far superior) as well as the ambience, and we weren't even there for the fireworks. I'm sure that would make it all the better.

Have fun!!

Another vote for CG.
Go when the fireworks are going on (or just before) and they will "hold" your dinner so you can go out and watch them - complete with music! It is a great restaurant - wonderful views. We always have a meal there during our trips.

lklasing - so funny - same names! Do you have a beagle (your avatar)? We do - Abby! (No 2 legged kids - just Abby!).

We have to vote for Citricos. The food is fresh and wonderful, the wait staff is amazing, and the atmosphere is so much nicer....much quieter!

No beagle, just a daughter who loves to have a hand in helping with my signature. She's a big dog-lover. I'm sure she'd love your Abby!

This is exactly what I would have answered. They are both very good, but Citrico's wins for me (that being said, I have not been to CG in a couple years, so I am going there, and not to Citrico's, during my March 2008 trip).

For us, a group of 6 adults, Ca Grill is far better than Citricos.

Thanks for all your help. I am still confused. We are staying at the GF in April(25 years 5 boys later) we are on the Platium Plus Plan wer are eating at Victoria & Alberts & Narcoossee's & I know there both In the GF & so is Citrios. I'm really a plain eater my husband tries anything. I know the view is nice from Califorina Grill we ate there when we were about 19. I just want different.
But I want it to be good. Please help me make up my mind. It's not that I don't know Disney I have 60+ trips under me. But with 5 kids I never had the chance to do the things I am doing on this trip.
Thanks everybody
Roe

I would suggest you look at the menus and see which has more appealing food options for you.
I find that the food has been good at both places

I have been to both but prefer Citricos as it is quieter

Well I didn't think of it but I will be there on Thursday to I will be staying at Pop Century. So Instead of just going anywhere to eat I might as well go to Cirtios that first night. So now I will have the chance to eat at both instead of driving myself crazy!
Thank you
Roe

I just got home last night and went to both. None of our party like CG. The food was just okay and was pretty bland compared to other meals we had this week. The service was slow which we noticed all over the restaurant. We had much better food and service at Citrico, Brown Derby and Le Cellier. Just my opinion but I think CG is over rated and there are better places to eat on property.

Have not been to Citricos but went to CG earlier this month for the first time. Had a great filet mignon - it was so good, I nearly licked my plate! It's expensive but worth it.

I am quite fussy when it comes to food - eg I like eating at Michelin star restaurants. And Citricos is just ok - I wouldn't go out of my way to go there, but California Grill wins hands down for food quality and ambience.

The great thing is it's an open kitchen - you'll be able to see all the different dishes before you even order and your server will be happy to tell you what things are if you see something you like the look of.

By the way, Victoria and Albert's is fantastic too, but in a much different way to California Grill. They are both on my must do list for next trip.

We're not making this easy, are we?:goodvibes
Anyway, do check the menus first--something there might tip the scale. Both are great spots and we're doing both in December. If I was forced to pick one, it'd be California Grill, as they have "location" and that view really puts us in the Disney mood. And I like their flatbread appetizers almost as much as the entrees.
And to note that Citricos also has an open kitchen--but not as large as nor as loud as the one at CG. Citricos is the more quiet spot--CG (unless you get the Wine Room) is usually quite noisy.

OK.. so another vote here for Citrico's and I have tried them both. I think that CG tried to be more than it really is and I was not that impressed. With Citrico's, I go in knowing that the service is great, food is great, and the ambiance is delightful and I have never left disappointed. We were abot 9 the time we went to CG, server was a little impressed with himself and food was just ok...nothing that I can even remember. CG does have quite a view but you can some some of Wishes from Citrico's if your timing is correct for that event.

So my vote is for Citrico's...

But if you are not after the fireworks, and you are looking for a quiet (kid-free) 25th Anniversary celebration I would suggest spending a bit more and going to V&A.

I booked it for the first night. I figured I am only married 25 years once. And after 5 kids I'm going to have some fun so this is what i'm doing . I have the plat plus plan
Thurs night: Citrios
Friday night: Victoria & Alberts
Saturday night : California Grill
Sunday night: Narccooee's.
Now how to do this & not gain 100 pounds lol.
Thanks to everbody for all your help. :)
