Which restuarants require ADRs made far in advance?

My 180 day window is approaching, but I just can't get in the mood to think about dinner 6 months from now, so looking for a little help & advice. :)

It will be just me and my DH. We're not interested in any character meals or V&A's and will probably do only 2 - 3 TS meals. We're not going to do the Dining Plan, although I am considering the DDE. We'll be spending time at the Food & Wine Festival and are hoping to work in a MNSSHP while we're there.

So - how far in advance do I really need to make ADRs to have a reasonable chance of eating between 6 & 8? Considering California Grill, Jiko, Flying Fish, Narcoose's & Citricos, but am open to others as well.

Appreciate any and all opinions! TIA.

I'm in the process of doing the same thing and am so UNINSPIRED right now but I picked all of our favorites and made dining ressies anyway with the intent that when the trip gets closer, I can cancel what I don't want but am guaranteed to have what I do want.

I don't care if it's supposed to be a crowded time or a slow time - I never want to walk up to a TS again and have them say (as happened on a trip back in 2005) - sorry we're book until closing!

Not really answering your direct question but hope this helps anyway!

I usually call near the 180 day-mark, and have found that while there is good availability for the restaurants you mention, the ADR's are narrowed to specific seating times. So while you may want 6-8pm, there may only be 3 seatings they will book during that time (say, 6:15, 7:00 and 7:45). I would make 1 or 2 choices at least and book them sooner rather than later.

I can tell you if you WANT to eat somewhere during a specific time window then you MUST make ADR's EXCACTLY 180 days in advance, Or you run a gigantic risk of not eating there A: at all, or B: at a very undesirable time.

I am totally with you about being uninspired six months in advance about where i'm eating, but unfortunately, with the popularity of dining at disney, unless you really want to risk not eating at a place you'd really like to, then I say go ahead and bite the bullet and make the ADR's, just remember, you don't HAVE to go when you finally get to your trip. As long as you cancel 24 hour in advance you don't even get charged.

Have a good trip! :cool1:

My DH and I are making a solo trip in June and wanted to try out LeCellier so I called at the 180 day mark - I'm so glad I did because I called a few weeks back to see if I could pick an earlier time and IT'S FULL FOR THE EVENING!

Thanks for the replies - guess I'll have to work on "getting inspired", LOL.
