Which Restaurants to Try at DLR

Napa Rose I hear is wonderful. Not something to be missed! :thumbsup2

I also heard Goofy’s kitchen is great also, apparently I heard it’s buffet…:)

I'm with Sherry! I absolutely adore Goofy's Kitchen, although I haven never been there for dinner. I prefer to stick with breakfast for my character meals so, and their first seating if possible (we all have our preferences). I was at GK for my birthday last year and had without a doubt my favorite time out of any character meal all thanks to the interaction (interaction at Minnie's was a close 2nd) with the characters. Especially after a certain chipmunk brought me out a tabelcloth to use as a substitue jacket since I had left mine at the hotel and was cold. It was just one of those awesome moments that amde my day (especially being my actual birthday). I can't attest to the dinner menu, but I loved everything I ate for breakfast.

Napa Rose is the best restaurant at DLR hands down, is always on our "must do" list and we feel it's worth every penny. Especially if there is a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion involved.
Blue Bayou, on the other hand, while everyone in my group agreed that it has a nice ambiance, we didn't particularly like the food and that it was not worth its price.
The first time we went to Goofy's, it was great, but the second time was a bit disappointing. So, we are going to try the Storyteller's Cafe this time instead for our character meal.

But, it seems everyone has different tastes - good luck deciding.

I will also second Sherry GK for brunch is great we have never done dinner but brunch has always been great and lots of characters multiple visits by all of the characters... and we have never had a bad meal there or at Cafe Orleans the Monte cristo the Gumbo, Pomme Frites and Beignets o my gosh my mouth is watering thinking of CO.. just a couple more short months and we will be there.......

So I am trying to decide which restaurants to eat at for our Sept trip.... waiting patiently for the 4th of July which is my 60 day mark to be able to book.... here are the ones I'm debating over:

Blue Bayou (dinner)
Napa Rose (dinner)
Goofy's Kitchen (dinner)
Carnation Cafe (lunch)
Cafe Orleans (lunch)
AG WOC Dining Package
WCT WOC Dining Package
Storytellers Cafe (breakfast)

It will just be myself and my DH celebrating his 32nd bday. We will be staying 4 nights labor day weekend at GCH. We are huge WDW fans, have been to DL 3X but never stayed on property and have never been to any of the restaurants listed above. We do enjoy character dining I.E. Chef Mickeys at WDW. Just trying not to "break the bank" as we like to enjoy good dinners but if we try all on the list it will get really pricey! We are not adventurous diners, more steak and potatoes couple, not seafood fans (DH is allergic). Leaning a little more toward AG for WOC but either way, it will be over $80 for the 2 of us to have dinner there. Is it worth it for preferred viewing? WOC is definitely a priority to me. But nothing on the picnic list sounded appealing to me. BB is a restaurant we've always wanted to try bc POTC is our fave ride. And Napa Rose never was on my must-do bc of price but all the positive reviews have gotten me curious! This would have to be done on our first night there.

Opinions welcome on which are must-do's for you out of my list and which are not worth it.

I ate at Blue Bayou once and really really liked it! The whole setting and atmosphere is really great! However, on the down side, the prices are outragiously steep. It almost isn't worth it. :rolleyes1
