I just checked to see how late Raglan was open and asked if they allowed sharing. I was told that sharing was not allowed on the dining plan. I read here that it is. Does anyone know for sure? The girls in our family can not eat an appitizer, entree and desert all in one meal. Any suggestains? by the way, We are not planning any buffets.

Thanks Tigger

It is up to the restaurant at each turn: The Dining Plan itself doesn't guarantee that any restaurant will permit meal sharing. Having said that, a great majority of restaurants will graciously allow it. Just ask when you order, and I bet you'll be pleasantly suprised, most of the time.

All the Disney ones do, just not at Buffet or Family Style restaurants. Raglan is a privately owned DD restaurant.

Maybe if you explain the situation to your server when you sit down, they might allow it with young kids. Like if 2 of them were going to order the app, entree, and dessert and all 3 split it.

Raglan Road is privately owned and under no obligation to allow adults (or children) to share meals whether they are on the DDP or not. I was at Maggiano's (higher end Italian restaurant) in King of Prussia, PA 2 months ago. I heard a server rather coldly tell a family of four that they could not order 2 meals and share them. He said they would not provide extra plates and then stood there waiting for them to decide what to do. I was surprised not only by his coldness but by the fact that these people wanted to share 2 meals. I have NEVER seen anyone do this anywhere except Disney!

I just figured Disney allows it not to lose people's travel dollars. Like the guy who paid rack rate for the Grand Floridian (because that's where his wife wants to stay), and wants to share a dinner entree with his 12 year old daughter who eats nothing. So then, he feels like he's not wasting money. ;) When everyone really know that Disney gets the $20 that entree was worth when the person buys the DD a $20 tee-shirt an hour later. :teeth:
