Just looking for recommendations on a good restaurant in Disneyland. We will have a 2.5 and a 5 year old. I have already tried Blue Bayou but there are no desireable times left.

For similar style of food, I would go with Cafe Orleans. Otherwise, it depends on what kind of food and experience you want.

With kids in tow I would suggest the Plaza Inn. They have fantastic food and several al-a-cart things.
Check out their lunch and dinner menu's.
A stop (or two) there is mandatory for every trip we make.
Thank you.. we have Minnie's breakfast booked there one morning so hoping to do another really kid friendly one with good food.

The Plaza Inn is a character buffet for breakfast and then becomes a counter service location at lunch and dinner (the fried chicken is very popular). I really like the fried chicken and it seems like a fairly kid friendly location (I've dinned there with an almost 1, an almost 3 year old, and a four year old) - they all liked the fried chicken. Otherwise, for table service locations, I would opt for Cafe Orleans. It has good food and most of the seating is outside, so there is lots to see (New Orleans Square, Rivers of America) while dining. Otherwise, the French Market (near Cafe Orleans) is another good option (similar view). I went there with the same kids and they seemed to enjoy it.

I agree with Carnation Cafe....never had a bad meal there. The deep fried pickles and the baked potato soup are amazing. My daughter always gets the macaroni and cheese and it comes with fruit and veggies.

My kid friendly faves are French market and plaza inn.

In dca I love Boardwalk pizza & pasta.

With kids we find having no reservations works best for us. Who knows when we'll be hungry! When we had blue bayou we waited til they were in bed and had aunties watch them.

For dinner. We want to do at least one dinner in the park. So far we have a reso at tortilla jos downtown Disney and a breakfast with Minnie.

At tortilla Joes, if you like Guacamole, make sure to get the "guacamole bar" or whatevr its called.
Well depending on your little one, Wine Country Trattoria in DCA is pretty nice for dinner.
Depends on kids, if they like Cars then Flos is kind of cool, pretty over there at night.

We think Carnation cafe is just ok. Keep trying for Blue Bayou as sometimes things open up and that is by far the best restaurant in DL (atmosphere by far). We also like Plaza Inn, French Market and Red Rose Tavern (but those are all QS). I am not a big fan of Cafe Orleans as my kids don't like the Cajun dishes which means we pay a lot for them to not eat.

Sit down restaurants or quick service? For sit downs I always like Café Orleans, or maybe French Market. Plaza Inn has a lot of good options too and very large portions.

If you're looking for quick service Red Rose Taverne has great atmosphere, and Pizza port is a solid spot for pizza, pasta and salads.

Totally agree, I would rather just play it by ear but also worried about wait times at the restaurants.

I have two small kids and I highly recommend table service. At counter service you have to either carry trays while dealing with little ones or if you just have two adults and leave the other behind at a table with the kids then you have to juggle the whole order yourself. I've had cast members help me carry sometimes if it's not too busy but that's not always the case. Even if it's a little more money it's so much easier.
I liked carnation cafe (kids love the milkshakes) and I actually enjoyed river belle terrace. Lots to see if you sit outside and I enjoyed the food as well.
