Which restaurant Kona Cafe or The Wave?

Staying at the GF and want a restaurant close and easy to get to. Are one of these good? Or maybe we should eat at GF cafe? Any opinions? Thanks, Linda

We're staying at the GF and have ADRs at both of these places in August.

We've had dinner at Kona three times in three years. It's okay, but I think the quality has slipped a bit, and the atmosphere is pretty basic. That said, my kids like it, and it's certainly acceptable to us.

We had dinner last year at the Wave. The food there was a bit better (IMHO) than Kona's last year, but our service was not the best. In terms of atmosphere, the Wave is much quieter than Kona.

I haven't been to the Grand Floridian Cafe, so I can't comment.

Never eaten at the Wave, but of the other two, it's Kona for me.

We are doing both in Aug...can't wait! We have never eaten at the Wave before.

It used to be Kona for me, too. But I heard that the chef had been moved and sure enough, during our December 2008 trip, the quality had really slipped.

We do love the Grand Floridian Cafe. I would love to try The Wave. It's definitely something I have planned for this August.

We went to the Wave in March (tons of pics in my link) and actually cancelled Kona to go there ... man were we ever glad we did! The food was incredible, the service was awesome and the atmosphere was nice and quiet and relaxing

I think Kona is overrated, the food is not that great and it is too loud to sit and enjoy a meal.

GFC is very good as well but I would still choose the Wave over it

I like all three, but I would say the Wave would be a good choice. Food is a little bit higher quality. GF Cafe seems basic to me - a solid meal choice but nothing exceptional. I like Kona a lot - to me the atmosphere is fun, not noisy and distracting. Seeing the Poly setting is nice, and I like their menu and drinks. We are considering eating at all three this summer!
