Would like to book an ADR for the restaurant in the Japan pavilion that's the "cook in front of you" style. I'm not sure if it's Tepan Edo or Tokyo Dining. Input please, which is better, who has the yummiest food, etc. We are not picky eaters and will be using the DDP. Thanks, 45 days!!!

We went to Teppan Edo when we were there for our honeymoon. It is the "cook in front of you" hibachi style and it was super yummy! The table seats 8 people, so if you have less than that in your party you will most likely be seated with other people.

DH really enjoyed Teppan Edo (even though he is usually really picky about Asian food). Have fun!

Another vote for Teppan Edo. We went last week and it was fantastic, great food and very entertaining!

Teppan Edo (formerly Teppan Yaki) is a Family Tradition...

DS18 INSISTS on it... since we've been the last 10 times...(since Epcot opened)

It is a wonderful show and the food is great!

Hugs,
Mary

My DH and I just tried Teppan Edo for the first time a few weeks ago and it was awesome!! We sat with some really nice people, our chef (Kenta, from Dallas, Texas!) was wonderful and the food was great! Can't wait to go back and take our kids with us. I see this being a tradition just like Le Cellier!

Another vote for Teppan Edo!! I always feel it is a good use of my dining credits and of the 4 times I have eaten there I have never had bad food. I also enjoy the fact you get sat with other vacationers if you have a smaller party, because then you get to meet some wonderful new people. As for the chefs preparing your food it can be hit or miss on how entertaining they are. Our last chef was very outgoing and hilarious, but the few times before the chef was more serious and less entertaining.

Umm, did anyone say Teppan Edo?! :lmao: Agree, it's a definite over Tokyo Dining.

I've never gotten to eat at Teppan Edo, but everyone says how great it is. I am so excited to try it on our upcoming vacation! :)

Awesome, that's what I hoped when I made my ADR! I'm sure my kids will enjoy the "show," and we're a family of four so hopefully we're seated with some interesting people. You never know who you might meet, when we went in '07 my husband golfed alone, was paired up with some older gentleman. Turns out they were originally from a town 30miles north of where we live in Indiana, and remembered playing high school football with my uncles in the late 1940's! It is a small world after all! SOOO EXCITED!

It used to be really good until they did refurb on it and changed the name. Now the food is just so so for the price and no more fried rice! How can you not get fried rice? lol

This was once a must do, but was scratched off the list after it re-opened it went downhill super fast. Too bad it was my favorite place to eat.

Another voice of dissent here. I've never eaten at Teppan Edo, and would not "waste" one of my WDW meals doing so. We have at least 3 different hibachi places here in the Greenville, SC area.

Tokyo Dining, OTOH, was awesome! DH and I had the best time there, and even got to watch Illuminations from our table in a/c'd comfort over dessert :D

I love my local Japanese hibachi (where they cook in front of you), but Teppan Edo didn't compare at all. The food wasnt as good and dont give you enough. The rice is just plain white rice!! I was so mad because I love fried rice.

It's okay though, just not as good.
