Our 10th anniversary is today and while were holding off on celebrating until we get to Florida. We want to go out for a special meal and we're going to do a helicopter tour.

I'm just wondering which restaurant you'd recommend the most, out of what we're looking at, based on atmosphere, food quality (especially based on their steaks), entertainment etc... We're looking for a place where we can have a great meal and FUN (we're not really into fancy restaurants).

- Raglan Road. DH and I both love Celtic music/bars, and on our honeymoon we stayed at this great resort that had a small Irish pub, so it would kind of be like going back to our honeymoon. It seems to have great reviews. My only concern is, we're staying off-site, so how bad will it be trying to drive there? (We're towards Clermont area, about 15 minutes to MK parking lot). How much would a taxi be?

- Disney's Spirit of Aloha show. Is it good? How's the food?

Any other suggestions?

Of the two you mention, Raglan Road would be the clear choice. At the Spirit of Aloha show, you're paying a lot for the show- the food is just "eh".
Another recommendation from our experience is Artist Point at WL.

First off, congratulations on your 10 year anniversary!!

I think that Raglan Road given the background of your honeymoon would be a perfect fit for your 10 year anniversary! If you do not or have not yet, download Uber and I guarantee it will be cheaper than a taxi to DTD. Driving could be a pain with all the construction taking place in the DTD area.

Raglan Road is one of our favourite places to eat or just hang out at night time after work or on the weekends. The food (to me) is very good and there is always a good time there. It can get packed so reservations are a must for your anniversary.

What is Uber? lol

Spirit of Aloha would be my LAST choice for an anniversary dinner. It's "High school musical" with a polynesian theme. The food is not particularly good, and the service is what you'd expect at a dinner show (i.e., not good).

lol ... Seems like yesterday (it was) I was replying on another thread about Uber. A much cheaper & better option (to me) than regular taxi rides. It's an app you download on your mobile and request a "ride" from point A to point B. You enter your address, where you are going and it will give you an estimate on the fare.

You accept that and a driver will come pick you up and take you whee you are going. No money exchanges hands. No tips are needed. The Uber drivers pick you up in their own cars and you can follow them all the way until they arrive where you are on the app.

Just an example. I live less than 5 miles from Disney World. I took a regular taxi service to DTD and it was nearly $30.00.

I did an Uber ride and it was under $10.00. Same trip. Same pick up & drop off location. Though over $20.00 cheaper.

Raglan Road is one of my favorites! Very fun and lots of entertainment. Ohana is another one of my favorites. If you time it correctly, you can be there for Wishes (firework show). This could be romantic. Out of the two, however, I would recommend Raglan Road given your history. Have fun!

If you are looking for both romantic dining AND based upon steaks, to me the answer is Le Celier in Canada (Epcot.) First, let's breakdown steaks. For me (a huge steak lover,) I have been able to try various cuts of meat at different restaurants in Disney, and find Le Celier's to be the best. With that said, I've never had a "bad" steak at Disney, so of course anyone is allowed to disagree. I have never been to Don Shula's, but my fiance and I have a rule that when we go to Disney, there is no point in going to a restaurant that we can get outside of Disney. Whats the point?! Second, the ambiance. Let me just say that Le Celier compared to restaurants outside the parks such as CK or Yachtsmen will not appear quite as "fancy," being that you'll have people come straight within the park (i.e. more casual dress code/attitude.) If you want just pure romance and are more open for a certain cuisine, you are better off at somewhere like CK or Narcossess or something. Nevertheless, the dim lighting, rustic feel, great service, and amazing food is what makes this hands down one of my favorite Disney restaurants in general. Honestly, give a man a piece of filet, beer and cheddar soup, pretzel bread, poutine, and his woman, and you'll be living the dream haha.
