My DH, DS, and I will be in WDW in a week and a day (YEA!!). Sat. night We plan on watching Specto and the fireworks at the MK. We are staying at the VWL. My DS is 1yr. and eats around 6:30pm or can sometimes be stretched till 7:30. The parade starts at 7:15, fireworks at 8pm. I am trying to figure out where to eat dinner and at what time. I have thought of the following places and want to call soon for PS. Whispering Canyon Cafe, Ohana, Kona Cafe, Tony's Town Square, Cinderella's Royal Table, Liberty Tree Tavern, Concourse Steakhouse, Chef Mickey's......I am not tied to any of these--just trying to brainstorm. HELP!!!!! Thanks!

If it were for my family I'd probably pick Kona out of the choices you list. They have excellent food, service is very fast which helps with a 1yo and you can enjoy an adult beverage if you are so inclined.;) CRT would porbably be my next choice but alas no wine, etc.. Actually maybe Concourse Steakhouse but I've never dined there so not sure. We're dining at California Grill that night. Have you considered that?

Some unsolicited advice...I would not try to stretch your baby's dinner time. We always found it so much easier on our children and therefore us too if we stuck to a schedule. In fact since he's used to eating at 6:30 I'd make a PS for 6:15 or even 6:00 to make sure he doesn't get hungry before he actually has his dinner. If you eat at CRT the timing could work out very well with a 6:00 PS. With a monorail restaurant I'd probably try to get a 5:30 PS. Much better to feed early than late I think. Whatever you decide I would call soon!

Have a great trip.

I would do Cinderella' Table at the castle for 7:00. That way you can view the fireworks from inside the castle. It is really beautiful to see through the stained glass windows!

If youwant to see the parade, I would eat counter service at Pecos Bill. I saw one family where the dad got the food and brought it to the others, who were staking out their spot for the parade.Frontierland is a good viewing spot.

We did LTT-but make the Ps early enough, so you will be done by the time the parade starts.

Last summer my family staked a spot on Main Street and I went and got us hotdogs at Casey's. We love their hotdogs and were able to eat and people watch while waiting. If you really want to do a sit down meal, make sure to allow yourself PLENTY of time to get to MK and find a spot before the parade. Main Street was mobbed at the entrance one night when we went in right before the parade started, and we could not even think about getting to the check in area for wrist bands for E ride night until well after the parade was over. You could eat really early (late lunch?) and then get a spot close to Casey's for the parade, after the parade snag a spot in their seating area and have a hotdog snack while you wait for the fireworks if you are hungry again!
No matter what you do, Spectromagic is our favorite parade and IMHO well worth the wait to get a good spot to view. Have a magical trip!

Happy Planning!!

We're arriving the same day! I tried making reservations at Chef Mickey's for the same night and they were booked the whole night, I also tried CRT - booked, I finally got a 4:00 at Liberty Tavern. A little early but at least we'll eat.... Good luck - maybe they've had some cancellations since I last called! :D

Thanks for all the ideas. I have gotten PS at Whispering Cafe for 5:30pm. But am really liking the Peco's Bill idea. We do want to be in that part of the park for the parade.....so I'll have to base it on my DS1 for the final decision.......5 days and counting!!!!!
