Which resorts have the small speed boats?

We are trying to plan a morning to rent some of the little speed boats for an hour or two. Where do you get them? I called to try to get reservations and they told us its first come first serve at any of the resorts iwth docks. I didnt think to ask which ones those are. Does the Beach Club have them for rent? Anyone know how much they are? How many people can fit in them?

You can rent them at the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness, The Yacht and Beach Club, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Old key West, Port Orleans Riverside, and Downtown Disney Marketplace. They are $22.53 (plus tax) per 30 minutes,
$30.05 (plus tax) per 45 minutes, $35.68 (plus tax) per 60 minutes and can accomodate 2 people in them.

How old (or how tall) would two kids have to be in order to go out in one of the speed boats without an adult?

On Bay Lake/Seven Seas lagoon (Wilderness Lodge, Fort Wilderness, Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian) kids must be at least 12 years old and 5 feet tall to drive (and be accompanied by a licensed driver). They must have a license, NOT a permit, to drive by themselves.

However, at the other resorts (Carribbean Beach, Yacht and Beach, Downtown Disney, etc), kids can drive when they are 12 years old and 5 feet tall and do not need to be accompanied by a licensed driver.

Bay Lake/Seven Seas lagoon is bigger, has huge transportation ferries, and the boats go faster (9.9 hp engine vs the 6.6 outside of the MK region). The boats in the MK region go faster, but if your child does not have a license and wants to drive and go fast, they will be better off by themselves on another lake. (2 people weigh the boat down and it goes considerably slower).

Thanks, PixieDust742, that's exactly what I wanted to know. We'll be staying at the Swan, so I guess our 12 year old twins can take a boat out by themselves from the Yacht and Beach Club. Sounds great!
