Which resorts have the Best Beds??

Nothing can beat the heavenly beds at the Swan/Dolphin. They do allow 5 to a room but you have to ask for a rollaway. We loved the Dolphin and would try the Swan also.

Definitely the "heavenly beds" at the Swan. They also have the down comforters and oversized down pillows. Very hard to get out of that bed every morning, it's just sooooo comfortable.

HOw true it is that by the end of the long day @ the parks you'll practically fall asleep standing up. But I would have to agree they arent te most comfortable. The ones last visit @ POP was more comfortable than the ones on my most recent return @ POR 1/29-2/5/05. the only true complaint I do have is I needed a step to get on top of the bed.I fell off and it was hysterical some friends I met there said its like Honey I blew up the furniture..it's a long way down to the floor.!!! ; ) .I was'nt hurt but a kid could be I am sure.I don't know maybe it's to hav room for th trundle bed. ALL in all my trip was GREAT!!

The best beds are at the Swan by far. You can fit 5 in a room there, you just need to pay extra for a rollaway bed.
The beds at Saratoga Springs were comfortable also.

I have only stayed, thus far, at the GF (and only one time), but I thought the beds were wonderful, and the pillows were amongst the best I have seen at any hotel. Like anything else, though, one's bedding preference is highly personal so what I like you might hate.

Just back from GF....very comfortable bed and definitely the Swan's heavenly bed is awesome too! :rotfl:

I actually bought down pillows for my own bed after sleeping on the ones at the Swan. I just never realized how comfortable they were.

Saratoga Springs beds were very comfortable. Did not not want to get out of them :cloud9:

:cloud9: Ahhh. heavenly beds, pillowtops, wow!!! So much to consider! :) I really am fairly easy to please...I just remember the Poly and AKL beds being "standard" hotel beds...kind of staunch and solid..no springy to them...I had a back injury in a car accident in college and it ruined my lower vertebrae....so after a days worth of walking I need a bed that will provide support but be soft enough so I don't feel my bones everytime I toss and turn. We promised the kids a trip to Disney as SOON as we sell our home and move (10 months and counting!!!) and I'm sooo desperate at this point that the minute we sell...I'm calling Disney and flying down within a week's time. So I want to have my choice narrowed down...after this stressful year a good nights sleep sounds heavenly...it sounds like many of the resorts have upgraded....

I would consider S&D but having a roll-out for one of my kids just really makes you feel like sardines in a can...atleast the daybed can pretend it's a sitting sofa. That rollaway is only a hazard for stubbing toes and getting your fingers pinched while messing with it.

I'm leaning towards GF...but would consider WL...(we're big MK fans)...one of the CM's told me that they won't guarantee you connecting rooms unless you only have one parent...Now what kind of fun could my husband and I have if he's on a different floor with half my kids? Two connecting is cheaper than their deluxe. Decisions, decisions!!!

During our last few visits I noticed that the WL had pillow tops, our room at the Poly did not, and our room at the YC did. DH is soooooooo picky he brings a queen sized eggcrate with him and immediately puts it on every bed, regardless of comfort level or quality of the hotel.

We dive so we bring our pwn pillows. That said I like the BC and YC beds. The pillows where the pits. The worst beds in Orlando are at the Hard Rock Hotel !! Like sleeping on concrete and plastic under the sheets so you side! The best Portofino Hotel.

Actually they will guarantee connecting rooms when you have 2 parents with minor children who exceed the maximum capacity of the room. They've guaranteed them for me several times. One time I had a CM tell me that Disney doesn't guarantee connecting rooms even with children. After going back and forth with the CM for several minutes with me telling her they've always guaranteed them in the past, I asked to speak to her supervisor. She put me on hold and came back a couple of minutes later to tell me they were guaranteed connecting.

Another vote for the Heavenly Beds at the Swan/Dolphin. I noticed the difference when I moved to YC after I stayed at the Swan. The beds were not as comfortable at YC, IMO. Loved AKL, but our beds were uncomfortable. Recalled climbing into the bunkbeds - the bunk mattress was more comfortable than the queen one in our room at AKL ;) We stayed at CBR when it was newly renovated (2002) and the beds were comfortable there. Not sure how they are now... Well, that is the good, the bad, and the not so bad of my bed experiences...
