We've stayed at Poly, AKL, & OKW....and to be honest have not been that impressed by the beds...we're a family of five so we're limited to those that have a trundle or daybed...I heard Swan and Dolphin have "heavenly beds" but they don't accomodate 5....considering GF, CR, WL, BC, YC, BWI, POFQ possibly...

Any suggestions?

I think GF has the most comfortable beds. But I've stayed at AKL, YC, BC, BWI, the Swan, POFQ and POR,and WL and the only beds I found uncomfortable were at POR (before the renovations, they are probably MUCH better now). I liked the beds at BC where we stayed in concierge recently...but I always think that the GF has incredibly comfortable beds when we stay there.

I've stayed at GF too, and hated the beds. They felt really hard to me, I'm sure it depends on what you prefer. Swan and Dolphin have Heavenly Beds now, but we haven't stayed there. Saratoga Springs is the best we've tried. They have a very nice Sealy pillowtop for the beds, and special foam sleeper sofas that are very comfortable.

The Swan/Dolphin heavenly beds are great, and you can fit 5 in a room. You just have to get a rollaway bed, which is a twin size and it's pretty comfy too. Or you could stay in a junior suite and have lots of room.

The beds at the Dolphin were all better than the beds at any of the Disney's owned resorts.

The Swan without a doubt because of the "Heavenly Beds." If you have ever stayed at any of the Westin hotels/resorts you know what I am talking about. They are the most comfortable beds in the world!

Beds are horrible at GF. We liked the beds at Pop, and had a great bed at AKL. None of disneys beds are overly impressive..you think they could do better.

The beds and ammenties are excellent at Swan/Dolphin, of course, they are not disney resorts..which makes them all the better.

I agree that the WDW resort beds aren't the premium type found at some hotels. However, anytime I have put my head down on a WDW resort pillow I was so tired it wouldn't have made any difference. :earsboy:

The Swan definitely. Those beds are GREAT!! We stayed there last May and they were absolutely wonderful. I'm having a hard time thinking about staying at one of the Disney resorts now with those bedspreads after staying at the Swan with the down comforter.

Just got back from the GF and we all loved the beds. We are a very picky family when it comes to the comfort of the beds and we all slept like babies b/c the beds were so comfy. We also really enjoyed the beds at the YC.

Good luck with your decision! :sunny:

I have to say that I don't usually remember the beds. Since we usually wear ourselves out at the parks, as long as it isn't the floor I am usually happy. Although I will say that the bigger beds are nice since DW has a harder time pushing me off. :earboy2:

The Grand Floridian just recently went to pillow top and they were wonderful.

We saw a big difference when we switched from AKL to YC. The YC seemed to have pillow tops. We could not believe the difference and we slept much better the rest of the trip. Not that we thought the AKL beds were bad... it was just that the YC seemed more like our one at home.

I've heard the POP bed were like "Flintstone Bed" - Very Hard - Like Rock. Do you like hard beds or did you not think they were that bad? The hard bed reports are the only thing keeping us from staying there.

I heard they were in the process of putting new mattresses in a lot of the resorts and going with pillow tops ones.

I agree, the Pop beds are like rocks, and I swear they are smaller than doubles!! We stayed there one night before checking-in at WL concierge... WOW, what a difference!!! I am wondering now if maybe the concierge level has an upgraded mattress because it was amazing compared to other resorts I've stayed at.

I'm not a big fan of the heavenly beds. The pillows kill my neck... I'm just not use to that type I guess. I do like the down comforter though. ;)

We are so tired when we come in from the parks that we could probably sleep on nails. :rotfl:

We stayed at the CSR this past Nov. The rooms had been recently re-done, and the beds were definately different from our previous stays. I believe that they were pillowtop also, very comfy :cloud9:

My vote is POR-We just stayed there in Parterre Place in November. They have new beds and were the most comfortable I've ever slept in! I'm a chronic insomniac, so when I can fall asleep by 7:30PM, you know the bed is pretty wonderful! Of course, this was after a full day of the parks, but I've never fallen asleep so quickly & soundly. This trip was just my DH & myself and we found ourselves asleep by 9-9:30, even though we didn't need to be, but we just couldn't help it!

GF we really comfy, but we also really liked POFQ.....

Some Marriots have them too. DD and I stayed at Marriot North in Indianaplois for a Girl Scout trip one weekend and I could have just stayed in that bed the whole trip.
