Which Resort?

I am booking a surprise x-mas present for my family for a trip to disney in January...problem: this is 9 weeks after we spend a week at the Poly Conceirge. I have been dropping hints with my husband and his reply (as always) is that I like the WL. We are trying to get the most from the annual passes we plan to buy in November and hope to return 2 more times this year.

So...I am torn betwen the WL coutyard view or the boardwalk standard view, our 4 dd will be with us,,

Also, any suggestions how you would put this under the tree would be helpful.

we love the lodge. but how about a split stay? and w/a 4 year old, how much time will you be spending at MK? just a thought.

WL is beautiful that time of year, probably the best resort for that Christmas feeling. It also would be a true present to your husband.

Having said that, I would probably pick the Boardwalk Inn, and make a trip over see the lodge. I love staying in the Epcot area for the convenience. Since you just were at the Poly, and presumably had many MKvisits, you might want to spend more time at Epcot and MGM. My 3 yo loves these parks, and we love being close enough to go back to our room. It's also nice not to have to spend so much time on a bus. At Christmas, transportation will be a nightmare and you can walk to the nearby parks, or take a short boat ride. Hint: Swan is the first pick-up on the bus line, you might want to utilize that to make sure you get a spot. You also can go through Epcot to catch the monorail--my 3yo considers that a ride in itself.

Either resort will be wonderful. I wish someone would surprise me with a Disney trip!!

I'd also say go for BW this time. The change from the MK area would probably be nice for you.

As for how to put the present under the tree --

why not put the Ressie Confirmation in a giftwrapped box?
