Which resort???

Okay, I have been looking at resorts, which one would be best for our family of 5? Our teen can spend 45 minutes or more just in the bathroom so I think 2 bathrooms would be nice. Before we just used the room to sleep but this time, at least one of us will be in the room more often with our preschooler who will most likely require breaks. Please tell me all you can about these resorts, which would you pick and why?


All Star Movies 2 rooms
Port Orleans Riverside
All Star Music Family Suites

All star suites, POR, FW cabins or any of the deluxes

At POR you can sleep 5 in one room, however you will only have 1 bathroom. You would need to rooms if you want the 2 baths.

ASMu has a family suite. You would have 2 bathrooms.

Though you can probably get 2 rooms with a code at a better rate than you can one family suite.

Renting pts from a DVC member might be an option for you. You would also have a kitchen and extra room for your group of 5. We save quite a lot of money by eating breakfast in our room & packing water/snacks for the day in the parks. You might check out the DVC portion of this board for more info on renting points.

You'll have to crunch the #s to see if it makes sense for your family.

When my family of 7, travels together, we prefer 2 rooms at ASMovies.




All Star Movies, 2 rooms = 4 beds, 2 baths, 2 TVs.

Port Orleans Riverside = 2 beds, 1 trundle bed, 1 bath, 1 TV.

All Star Music Family Suites = 1 bed, pull-out sofa and chairs, 2 baths, 2 TVs, small fridge and microwave.

Fort Wilderness Cabins = 2 rooms... 1 room with 1 double bed and bunk beds, living area with Murphy bed, full kitchen, 1 bath, 2 (?) TVs.

(I am not interested in dealing with or having my children sleep on pull-outs, but that is just my personal preference.)
