My family is trying to decide between staying at the Disney Caribbean Resort or the Port Orleans FQ. Any advice on which resort is better suited for a family 4, our daugters are 4 and 1. We've never stayed at Disney before and have no idea which resort would be best.

Thanks in advance for any help.

POFQ gets my vote! With kids that little you will love that the resort is smaller and that it has the really cool slide. My kids loved it at a young age. Plus you get the buses empty when they arrive at your resort so you almost always have a place to sit and the FQ is the first stop on the return home so you don't have a long ride on the buses. Good luck!

CBR is beautiful, but VERY large, if you do decide on that resort be sure to pay for a preffered room location.

POFQ it is the best in my opinion. CB was nice but way to large for me or my family, everything was pretty much far away from us. With the POFQ it is small and everything is pretty close together.

I have to agree that you will have an easier time getting around at POFQ. It is a very cute, compact resort that is a snap to navigate. CBR is a lovely resort, but very big. You will have an easier time with transportation at POFQ because, although it shares a route with POR (its sister resort), the bus stops first at POFQ....and, depending on when you travel, that bus can get pretty crowded! Also, POFQ shares a watercraft with POR and you can take that to DTD for a change of pace. POFQ has a cute little food court, always a nice alternative when you just want to grab something quick and the pool area is pretty cool. .
