were going to WDW in florida and im allowed to bring a friend for the first time, my mom was asking me which resort i wanted to stay at

heres the deal:
1: were allowed to go to downtown disney alone
2: were not really into roller coasters
3: we need a lot of on-site resort activities

(were 14 btw)

which resort wud u suggest for us to stay at???

I always like the Boardwalk. You can walk to both MGM and EPCOT from there. You're right on the boardwalk so there's stuff to do there and *I think* it's fairly close to Downtown Disney.

Saratoga is the closest to DTD, but I'm not sure how much there is to do there (besides the great pool)

I would agree Saratoga Springs is the closest resort to Downtown Disney. However, if you like alot of Resort activities I would say maybe Boardwalk or Poly.

Yea Poly is a real good one to go to.. uh...Boardwalk.... OH Fort Wilderness has ALOT to do there and it is a boat ride to MK.

I would stay at Saratoga Springs resort or Port Orleans FQ or R because they are both really close to DTD. You can also get the boat to DTD with both of them.

Port Orleans Riverside; You can take the boat to Downtown Disney. :]

Because you can go to DTD alone, is that your preference of a "park"?

I would suggest the Grand Floridian. Even though it is not near DTD, it is on the monorail for the Magic Kingdom, Contemporary, Polynesian, TTC, and from the TTC, Epcot.

The Grand Floridian has a lot to offer and has some very nice restaurants. It also has nice shopping! There are two pools, a slide pool and a main pool (and then the kiddie pool). There is a hot tub. There is also a health and spa center. There is a lot of water recreation and a "beach" there with several services. Since you are also on the monorail, you can easily reach the Contemporary which has more water recreations and more shopping. There are also some nice places to eat there too.

If you book a stay at the Grand Floridian with castle view, you can watch Wishes right from your balcony every night. And if you book a stay with either castle view OR lagoon view, you can watch the Electric water pagent every night.

The only downfall with this resort is that it is Disney's most expensive resort - but for all that it offers (I didn't even mention everything) it is VERY worth the stay ;)

Even though the GF is not near DTD, you can still take a bus there - it's just a longer bus ride.

I would stay at the Boardwalk. You're right next to MGM and Epcot, and there's plenty to do on the boardwalk at night after the parks. You can shop, do some games there, rent boats, get ice cream over at the Beach Club (right around the lake). That's my favorite resort for those reasons.

Yeah definitley the Boardwalk!!
You can boat to/from Epcot & MGM and there is PLENTY to do there.
You can bus to DTD.
But if you're looking for alot of "in-resort" things to do, I'd say definitley the Boardwalk. There is TONS to do there!

Def. Boardwalk. I'm biased, of course, EPCOT being my favourite park, but it's a cool resort as well. There's a lot to do, since yoy are right there on the Boardwalk. Plenty of places to eat, things to do, places to shop, and EPCOT is in your backyard!
