I have a couple of elementary aged boys and was wondering if anybody could suggest a good place to stay on property. Thanks!

Before you get any useful advice, it would help if you provided more details such as:
Budget (are you looking for value/moderate/deluxe accomodations?)
Location (Do you prefer to be near a certain park?)
Pools (Are you going to spend alot of time swimming at your resort? Are pool slides important to your boys?)
Etc.....

First, you should decide what type of resort you want to stay at (value, moderate, deluxe, home away from home). I've been to WDW 4 times with DBF and we always stay in a value resort. We find this economical because when you think about it, how much time do you really spend in the rooms? We usually go back to our room in the afternoon for about an hour or so, to refresh and get ready for dinner. As long as my room is clean, I'm easy to please! I think your boys might enjoy the All Star resorts. There are 3 of them, each themed to a specific thing: All Star Movies, All Star Music and All Star Sports. Seeing as they are elementary aged boys, them might like the All Star Sports.

My boys liked the All Stars - especially All Star Sports. They also liked the Contemporary a lot - they got a big kick out of the monorail going through, loved the "Food and Fun Center", and enjoyed all the wacky stuff in the rooms - they had no idea what was in the picture on the wall, for instance.

As they got older they liked laughing at me as I made fun of the place - I really hate it. I think that was probably 20% of the appeal at that point.

There really isn't any other hotel they really liked. The rest they were kind of give-a-crap about. Animal Kingdom Lodge was one they enjoyed, but it didn't top their list and they wouldn't even mention it if asked.

If you are looking for a moderate, I recommend CSR. Check out my CSR website for pics and info below.

Try CBR you will like it there.

The last time we went, we stayed at All Star Movies, which my in-laws, myself and my three kids (2) (4.5) and (7) (at the time) liked. It was clean and econmical. My husband was not as crazy about it because it is a motel, not a hotel, and he spends his life traveling for work so he is much pickier about his hotel rooms than what we are. I will say this, however, if we did not have two connecting rooms, the rooms would have been almost two small for us. Also, if you have nappers, it is hard to be in the same room when they are napping.

Also, we found that there was one bus for ASM, ASMu and ***, and ASM was the last stop.

Depending on when you travel, it is a popular resort for high school and college groups (we were there when they had a cheerleading competition going on) and they are less quiet than other guests. Because most all of the rooms face to the middle of the courtyards, it can be noisy.

Finally, as it is a motel, if it is raining, anywhere you try to go outside your room, you will get wet.
