Which resort to waitlist

I just found out that we need to be up in Orlando for a weekend in October (the weekend before Columbus Day to be exact). I looked at all of DVC and everything is on waitlist for studios. If I put in a waitlist what would be the best resort/type of room to waitlist. I know it's a crapshoot and no way to know if we'd even get it but just thought I'd ask.

Probably a bigger resort - like Saratoga - would be your best bet. Maybe Poly as well since there are so many studios there. I think you can have two waitlists at the same time.

Standard Location at SSR and Standard View at PVB are the two studio booking categories with the most available rooms.

You can have up to 2 waitlists active at anyone time during a use year.

Stalk the website, we were able to get a week at SSR & BLT by stalking. Make sure you have all the points you need because you will not have time to call to book and/or buy OTU points...they go really fast when then show up.

Maybe DVC will release more points for sale at RR.... making more availability. DVC loves to show off the RR cause adonitis and new buyers need to experience DVC . Plus they won’t have to open up another property by creating availability at RR.
If it was me, one waitlist would be RR and the other would be anything that does not have view of Castle Anniversary fireworks .
Maybe BRV ...?
Good luck !

Certainly possible if the sales are strong enough to declare more rooms for DVC. If not, then they will leave them for cash reservations via WDW

Yeah, we just bought at RR and they had no availability even from the Welcome Home bucket for us in Oct. 50th anniversary demand is bonkers.

Since it is only a weekend, I think you might have better odds of picking something up just by stalking availability regularly. That would be my recommendation, since waitlist seems like it is less good than stalking lately. But agree OKW and SSR seem to be the best bets lately for last-minute availability, so would waitlist those.
