which resort to rent water mice from?

I am so excited to rent these. What hours are the marinas on the Seven Seas Lagoon open? And how long of a wait should I expect around 1pm? Is there a better resort to rent at - Poly? GF? Contemporary? I have never been on any type of boat before, is this scary? safe? will it tip over? Thanks!

I'd say any one of the three is a good place to rent. I personally rented from the GF. The boats have been upgraded with more powerful engines and a new design since I went on them a few years ago, but I felt perfectly safe at all times. Just stay well away from land and the ferry boats and you will be fine. My afternoon on the Seven Seas LAgoon is one of my highlights from that particular trip!

I have never had to wait in a line to rent a boat at 1:00 and that is about the time I rent myself. The boats themselves are very safe and a real hoot! I use to do the little 2 seater Sea Raycer but now I rent a Pontoon Boat. Take my camera and something to drink and just take my time, cruise around, taking all the pictures I can and just relax. As I have gotten older I have found I like the Pontoon Boats alot better but ask a few of my nephews and the'll vote that right out the window and go with the Sea Racers hands down...

There are life guards that patrol the area in speed boats and when they see travel or horseplay to close to the Ferry or another boat, they go right to the person causing the problem and it stops. I know, 2 of me nephews were messing around a little to much, they got a visit by the patrol and were told to stop or they would be made to take the boat back to the dock...

There are other things you can do on the water as well.. Sea-doo's for one... but you can only rent those at the Contemporary. I have rented from all 4 of the resorts on the Lagoon but I like the Grand Floridian the best now.

Thank you so much! I am so excited. I think we'll rent them at the Poly after a morning at the MK. That way, we can walk to the TTC and monorail to Epcot afterwards. Does Poly have the new and faster boats too?
