Which resort to pick?!?!?! The Mental Struggle begins!

Hi Everyone,

So I'm taking my friend to Disney with me this December 12/18-12/23. I'm having a complete mental struggle whether to stay at beach Club or Kidani. I am an owner at Kidani and really want to try the new resort and love my SV, but at the same time around Christmas the beach club is so convenient because I'm only a short walk away from the candlelight processional and osborne lights....o the choices!!!!! lol I don't think my friend would be down with a split stay for such a short vaca. What would you do?

Will Beach Club be available at Christmas time? That 11 month window for the smaller resorts means Christmas can be difficult to get into at 7 months. the decistion may be made for you.

Having just stayed at Kidani, I would pick there. The resort is beautiful and so beautifully themed. The bus systems were running so smoothly it shouldn't be hard getting wherever you need to go.

I would call NOW and see what's available -- no sense having any mental struggle about resorts that might not even be available. Once you call you might find it's a whole different decision you'l have to make.

For a stay during the traditional school holiday period, I agree with Dizny Dad, at the 7 month window it will come down to stay where you can get availability, not necessarily where you particularly WANT to stay.

Hi Everyone! Surprisingly I got into both no problem! I was extremely surprised I didn't have to play around with a waitlist or anything. Right now I have Beach Club booked...but I love AK and I'm sure would love Kidani. If only they could plunk AKV right in the boardwalk area lol

We really want to stay at BLT, but my in-laws home is SSR. We planning our trip for May 2010, so our 11 month window is in 2 weeks. We're traveling with a party of 6 adults and 3 kids (one in a pack-n-play) so we need a 2 bed-room villa. I'm thinking we book at THV in 2 weeks and then try to change to BLT at the 7th month window. That way if nothing is open at BLT, we already have a place. This will be our first DVC vacation, so I'm not sure how difficult this will be. What do any of you think the possiblities of changing resorts?

You might be ok. Where BLT is new though I'm not sure. You may not get the view you want but May isn't too busy so you might be safe
