But since you will be taking a bus from either resort to get around Disney property, it doesn't matter very much which one you pick. Instead of considering location as the first amenity, I would consider the room size, pools, restaurants and cost before considering location. Location is more important if you are considering resorts that allow you to walk to parks/DTD, which neither CSR or POP allow you to do.
CSR is a moderate which means it has a hot tub and pool slide, more restaurant choices, and because it is a convention property, it also has a more extensive room service menu. The rooms will be slightly larger and will have queen size beds. If you are considering a room with a king size bed, it is a bookable category at CSR.
POP is a value, which means it will not have a hot tub or a table service restaurant. The rooms are smaller and will have double beds instead of queen size beds. Rooms with king size beds are by request only. The only room service available is pizza delivery.
Only you know which amenities are of more value to your family. Are you OK with double beds instead of queen size beds? Do you need a hot tub or pool slide, or are you OK without them? Do you care if you have to leave your resort for table service dining, or do you want the option available at your resort? There isn't a wrong decision between them - just consider which one matches your family's needs the best.
