which resort is best for just one night?

We are looking to choose a resort for just the Friday after Thanksgiving - We're checking in to VWL the next day. We've been debating which of four resorts would be better for just the one night...we'll be there at 11:00 Friday morning. It's just the two of us (me, DH) and our 3 year old DS. Considering we don't have a lot of time to enjoy all amenities...from experience, what would any of you recommend:

Poly
AKL - Savanna
Yacht Club (we're DVC members and Beach Club Villas are currently unavailable)
Contemporary Tower

I'd go with AKL Savannah.

You will have an easy move to VWL the next day, and CR has beautiful views of MK, Bay Lake, and Seven Seas Lagoon. It's on the monorail loop, so transportation for that day would be very convenient. Since it's only for one night, and you will be moving to a very relaxing resort, I would go with a little more action for the first night. JMO

When I arrive a day early for my DVC stays at any of the Villas I just book a room at Pop Century. It's new, clean and very inexpensive, I know I'll have deluxe rooms the next day so I don't mind staying there one day...I have even stayed there when down for a quick trip, and not staying on points from DVC.

From your list, I'd go with the Yaht Club to be near Epcot, since your DVC vacation will be near the Magic Kindgom. However, like an earlier poster mentioned, I'd consider staying at the Pop Century or another value resort since you mentioned you'd have no time to really enjoy the attributes of the resort. Why pay for what you wont' use? Spend the difference at an awesome restaurant!
