Which Resort has the least children?

I have nothing against children, we are going away by ourselves next year & wanted to see what you thought. (Planning for 2003!)

I think you may see fewer kids at GF.

believe it or not, the Boardwalk Inn has fewer kids then the GF.

BWI is a quieter resort, there is a quiet pool that is quiet.

We stayed at the GF in January and there were plenty of kids. Less of course then some other resorts but I have seen fewer at the BWI.

I second the BWI. The GF can be OVERRUN with children, regretfully many are not well supervised in our experience.

The BWI is very quiet, and for some reason there seems to be very few children there. IMHO it's a better location as well, walking distance to Epcot.

I would say The Swan has fewer children, simply because it is a convention hotel. The Dolphin also is a convention hotel, but they have more things for kids than The Swan does.

I agree with josierac on the BWI for an adults only trip. I have stayed at the BWI twice for adults only trips and noticed there were not very many children around. Once we had a great room facing the honeymoon cottages, it was very quiet, we could see part of illuminations from our balcony and almost every day we had the quiet pool all to ourselves! Plus there are so many "adult" places to go in the evenings. Jellyrolls is a blast, I never made it to Atlantic Dance.

I love the BWI and the Epcot area but now that I have a DS (4 yo) I won't even think about staying there until he is older. Besides the fact that I felt the resort had a more adult feel to it there were just too many breakables all around the resort. We are looking at the BC for our next trip, which I have always seen tons of kids at.

I also say the BWI has fewer children. It's very romantic.

I have always seen lots of kids at the GF.

September 2000 the Inn was very quite.
October 2001 the Inn was crazy with kids.

We like PO/FQ we have stayed threre three times in a row! King bed 3rd floor in bldg 3. We never heard any kids running around, but we also don't go to the pool. A nice resort!

I would have to agree with the Boardwalk Inn. Also, I have heard from friends that the Yacht Club is nice, as long as you stay away from the Beach Club part.

Personally, we liked PO-R, the bayou rooms... we saw and heard very few kids there.

WL was teaming with kids, as was the Contemporary, but the only place we really saw the kids at the Contemporary was in the lobby, or Chef Mickey's. We were in the South Wing, over looking Bay Lake, and it was very quiet, and restful!

Another suggestion would be the Polynesian.

GF is upscale, but you will see the kids... I have never seen any rowdy ones, though!

Ditto, I say the BWI. I just stayed there and in and compared to other deluxes I have stayed at I think in 5 days I got to see a dozen or less kids.

I have to add my vote for BWI. DH and I stayed there last year (Oct.) and there seemed to be very few children. Plus there are lots of things to do -- walk to Epcot countries, the boardwalk, etc. We loved it.

Last October at the GF I saw very few children. In fact I saw very few people but then again it was just after Sept 11th.

From our experience with th three we have stayed, the least number of kids was at CSR.
I think the general rule of thumb is the higher the cost of the resort, the least likely you are to see kids.
DH and I are sans-kids. So we only have a tendency to notice them when they are screeching or crying in high pitches.
I can't say at any WDW resort I have been at that any kid was obnoxious. Usaully they are dead tired and sound asleep or too busy being happy.

We stay at BWV all the time, and I noticed that there seem to be a lot of business meetings at BWI, so you tend to see a lot of adults in business casual dress and not many children.

I think BWI would be a great choice for adults only trip.

This is absolutely incorrect. I will say that generally per room you will find more kids at the value resorts, and this is also the case at the moderates except CSR. But there are more kids at the GF than at the BWI, by far.
