I always thought it was OKW but Disney says it is BWV. Can anyone confirm one way or the other?

Oh- I think you are right- I am looking at WDW resorts though. Anyone know which is the largest?
I always heard OKW was bigger-
but in 2 places (disney web site and dvc literature) it list BWV as 412sqf- OKW as 390sqf. I am not sure that it is right or some kind of error.

OKW is 376-390 sq ft depending on who you believe and the rest at WDW are around 354-360. HH is 455 sq ft if I recall. VB is around 360 for an Inn room and 375 for a studio.

It does say that but it is wrong, they are 359 if my other info is correct.

I think 412 S.F. IS RIGHT. If you look at the floor plan, the Room is extra long, allowing for a daybed couch kind of thing that is absent in the other studios.

I have 412 s.f. on 2 different documents from DVC

Perhaps a BWV owner could comment.....

BWV, BCV, VWL and SSR are all the same basic room size and design with minor variations from one resort to another.

What they call a "daybed" is a glorified luggage bench. Tiny, and a very thin foam pad. I would not let even a 3 year old sleep on it personally.

I had that same question. According to my "unofficial" guidebook, the BWV studio is 412 sf (cf. to BCV at 356 and OKW at 376), 1 Bedroom is 814 sf (cf. to BCV at 726 and OKW at 942) and 2 Bedroom is 1,236 sf (cf. to BCV at 1,083 and OKW at 1,333). To my eyes, it looks like they show the units as longer (and it wouldn't take much to add 50 sf in the Studio). On the other hand, if they take the information from the Disney sites, then it could be a repetition of the same mistake. It doesn't sound like it is a noticeable difference to those members staying at BWV.

Actually all the numbers on the site are wrong for Boardwalk, every one of them including the GV based on the other info I've seen over the years.

Edited to add that my 2003 Unofficial guide has the right info and the 2005 one has the wrong info that exactly matches the wrong info on the official website.

I agree with that one, Carol Ann. And the only reason they have it in the BWV is that it fits in the space where the door would be to a connecting one bedroom. You only find them in dedicated studios. With the table, armoire and bench, they fill up every bit of space from the window to the kitchenette.

Dean if you have time would you please post the accurate square footage, I'd be interested in HH and VB too. Thanks.

What I have for BWV is 359, 712, 1071 & 2142. But remember these are averages and a given room can vary. I'm not sure why the ones on the WDW website are wrong since all the rest seem pretty accurate for the other resorts. It looks like they took the largest rooms and posted them for some reason, not sure why.

IMHO, you don't notice the extra room very much in the OKW studio living/bed area because the two queen beds take up that space. The huge difference is with the bathroom in the studio. It's larger than my guest bathroom at home! You could have a party in there. The balcony is also much larger.

The OKW kitchenette is to small the BWV kitchenette seems larger

I was going to say the opposite. Yes, the bed takes up room, but because OKW has an odd room layout (it isn't a long rectangle like the other resorts) for the studios, there aren't hallways - so none of the square footage is being eaten up in the hallway. Move the space from that hallway into the room, and the room opens up. Plus, you don't walk into a tight hallway - which can make the room feel bigger.

The layout is - in my opinion - a bigger deal than the few square feet difference - no matter whose numbers are correct.

It is almost triangular. The VB studios (not the Inn rooms) have a similar layout if I recall correctly though a tad bit smaller. The Inn rooms are more rectangular.

I have not stayed in a studio at BWV, VWL, or BCV - but our studio at SSR did not open into a tight hallway. It had a foyer/entry area that was decently sized. I checked the floorplans in the member handbook and, sure enough, the entry at SSR is different. In the handbook, BWV looks like it has slightly more of an entryway than BCV or VWL.
