Which resort has shortest MK ride?

Since we are spending most of our time at MK and dont' want to spend the money for the monorail... which resort has the fast trip to MK??? thanks.

Have you considered Wilderness Lodge? It's a bit less expensive since it is not on the Monorail and is a boat ride away from MK. We snagged a $129/nt. rate in December and loved it - it is a beautiful hotel.

You can also sometimes find deals on the Contemporary garden wings - where you can actually walk to MK!

I would guess the Wilderness Lodge....close to MK but no monorail therefore cheaper rates than the "monorail resorts".

Was thinking more of bus rides? When we were there at quiet time in Nov, the wilderness boat at closing to MK had a huge line(as did the poly). We waited way too long.(stayed at poly last time)

Save money and be close to the MK?

That's easy - Fort Wilderness. You can stay at a full cabin wit hall the amenities for about $230 a night and sleep a large family.

I prefer the WL, but depending on how many rooms you would need, your requirements, etc. consider FW as well.

Otherwise, I love the Port Orleans resorts. They are great hotels, close travel-wise and can be had for about $79 a night depending on the season

You must mean moderate resorts? Take a look at the WDW map and you should be able to tell - I think the moderates are all pretty much the same when it comes to a bus ride, except CSR - that one is farther. I like them all, but DTD ones have the boat to DTD which is nice or CBR is very close to EPCOT and MGM. Hope you find just what you're looking for!
