Has anyone got a feel for which resort(s) have the lowest demand for add-ons?

I know if you've been reading the board for a long time, you'd have some idea of how often people get waitlisted for adding on points at the various resorts.

Info could be helpful to me if I try to buy a resale near the ROFR threshold.

Thanks!

I'd say Vero too. On the Timeshare Store website there are several for $62 or $63 a point.

Why do you think VB is such a hard sell? Is it the distance from DW? Transportation direct from DW might enhance the buy option for many of us. Just curious. It's almost as if the resort is *out of sight, out of mind*.

I think there are several difficulties with Vero. It is "unknown" to many people. Vero is really a hidden Florida treasure that has been well-known to the wealthy for years but not so well-known to others.

DVC is sold primarily to people who come to WDW. If you travel to Florida and are a Disney lover, WDW is your first choice of where to stay. Vero would be secondary.

If DVC had decided to go whole hog into the timeshare business, I think Vero would have found buyers outside of the regular WDW customers.

That said, as more and more WDW folks venture to Vero they may want to add-on there. Many people fall in love once they visit.

If VB was not subsidized by Disney with high MB offerings, it would still have years and years left to sell out. Its a very expensive timeshare, very expensive. There are WAY cheaper and much better options out there. The only reason it sold at all was the DVC aspect and using WDW to sell it.

I think Disney was guilty of using WDW resorts to sell VB. I heard a guide(timeshare samlsman) say "I own at HH, most of the guides do, it cheaper than buying at BW with the MB and since the seven month window is meaningless, you can stay wherever you want."

I have heard similar lies from DVC salespeople is respect to selling HH and VB several times.

On site?????

VWL

Just a guess, but I think that since it has the same tiny units as BWV and BCV yet does not have the location, I would have to say that it is the least valuable on site resort....until SSR.

I would think it would be Vero. On site I would think it would be OKW because it's not close to the parks like BWV, BCV, and VWL.

On site I would think it is OKW also because of the location. Even though the room size and parking is a plus it's not what I care about. VWL has a lot of atmosphere but the bus transportation leave a lot to be desired. BWV and BCV (my home) because of their location are at the top of my favorites list and I believe over time will continually be harder to book as move resorts are built and sold.

I am not familiar with VB or HH and have no plans to go there so I can not vote for the off site locations.

I don't know the answer but I think OKW has higher demand than people are estimating. I know a lot of people on the waitlist their.

I am not an OKW fan but have been told the following (which all seem logical to me):
- lowest dues
- low point structure
- larger units
- more GV
- Quiet atmosphere, people say eventually you won't want to go to the parks as much (I think I have about 50 years until that point:p )

Just some thoughts
Sandy
