We will be in the Orlando area on my husband's 40th, and will have our girls with us. This is over spring break, which is the week before Easter. :crazy2:Yikes. I went ahead and booked at the Boardwalk for 3 nights. Because we are going for a week this Oct, I really don't plan on spending much time in the parks. We might go to Epcot, but I honestly don't want to fight the crowds that time of year. We spent 2 nights at Kidani at AKV, last spring break, and LOVED it!!! :beach:Pool was relaxing, transportation no issue, as we had our own car. Seriously wonderful. My favorite is always WLV, as I love the theme and pool. I am not sure that location will be worth it, this trip, though. As far as location, I think Boardwalk is perfect for us. Here is the question, though...

We want to spend 1 or 2 days hanging out at the resort. We did this at Kidani, and it was perfect. We have stayed at BWV before, and the girls liked their pool. Not sure how relaxing it will be at their pool. It was fun, but not relaxing. We basically want to hang by the pool, rent a surrey bike (although we could drive to a resort to do that), and perhaps take a boat ride or rent a boat. Main thing is the relaxing pool. Again, not sure we'll get that at BWV.

So, which would you choose? AKV, BWV, or VWL? I love them all, but for different reasons. If I'm going to change our reservations, thought I'd do it now, before Oct. Oh, this is also a surprise for my DH. He wants to spend his birthday at Epcot...drinking beer around the world.

Any suggestions are appreciated . I've only narrowed it to these 3.

If you are really doing to just relax, I would head back to AKV. The pool at Kidani is very conducive for relaxation. We liked our stay at BWV, and enjoyed the pool, and loved it's location to Epcot, but for some reason felt the need to go, go, go there. We're staying at VWL for the first time for my 40th this November, and splitting it with AKV. We also stayed at AKV for DH's 40th as well, so I guess i'm a little biased.:rotfl2:

For me the best is wilderness lodge. The pool is nice and is fed from a stream. There are woods to walk in or you can ride bikes thru them which have abundance of deer. The overall feel is so relaxing! It's our favorite. It feels so isolated.

I think you should go back to Kidani for relaxing. Like you said, the pool area is very relaxing. It is also very quiet! And the animals viewing spot right near the pool is also wonderful. :)

If you think your family will spend a lot of time at EPCOT, or even HS (the boat), maybe stay there for more nights and do 2/3 at Kidani? Just a thought! The boardwalk is in such a great location, but it is very busy.

Whatever you choose, I hope your family has a great time! :goodvibes
