Which Resort for 4th of July?

We're thinking of moving our reservations up a few days to be at WDW for 4th of July. We'll be staying at both GF and YC. Now the question - what are the best fireworks for the 4th? MK, Epcot or Sorcery in the Sky at MGM? I won't be crazy enough to do MK on the 4th but we have a lagoon view room booked for GF. Would it be better to watch MK fireworks from the room or stay at YC and be able to walk to Epcot for Illuminations or ferry to MGM for Sorcery in the SKy (which we've never seen). All you 4th of July experts I need you help. Thank you.

We have been on July 4th one time and won't do it again. It is too crowded every where. At MK they actually put up ropes in the walkways to keep people walking in the right direction. I would definitely stay away from MK. I would think even EPCOT would be crowded, but less than MK. The fireworks were spectacular at MK though. My vote would be for MGM.

We have been at Epcot 2 times for their 4th of July fireworks. They are awesome.

Yes its crowded so go early to get a good spot to watch. We went 2 years ago and didn't get to Epcot until late afternoon then we had time to visit some rides etc before nightfall. If you are not staying at Disney I will say the traffic was horrendous!

GF or Poly all the way!! If you GF it, get the building and room w/ balcony that faces the lagoon. The best fireworks show I have ever seen!! Plus we had drinks on the balcony, the breeze was blowing, it was amazing.
If you go Poly get lagoon view or go down the beach and you can see it from there. Enjoy the parks in the day but definatley plan on the resort for the eve.

We will be at the GF from 6/23-6-26. We are now going to extend our stay till July, should we get out of Disney on the 1st or 2nd - when do you think the 4th of July crowds will come in. Plus we have 2 small boys 4 and 7 and where should we book our extra days? Should we stay at the GF? We have stayed there before - sans children. Have been to OKW and BWV before with them and loved both. Any opinions?
