Hi fellow Dis fans,

This is my first post, but I'm a long time reader/follower of the boards. I've read through many of the prior forums, but I wanted to repeat an old question.

My wife and I are planning a 10 year anniversary trip to WDW in late 2022 (after Thanksgiving). We honeymooned at WDW and stayed at Contemporary resort. We loved the resort, and specifically loved the the close proximity to MK as we spent every evening there. We recently stayed at Boardwalk in 2019 with our son and loved it as well, but we are planning to stay at a Magic Kingdom resort again this time.

For our trip we are planning a 5 night stay, park hopper passes, and using the Disney Dining Plus plan (hopefully dining plan has returned by this time) as we are looking to eat good while we are there. Our preliminary restaurant list includes Victoria & Albert's, California Grill, Yachtsmen Steakhouse, Monsieur Paul, and Morimoto Asia (hoping to catch a Cirque du Soleil show) during our trip.

Between the Contemporary, Polynesian, and GF which resort would you recommend for an adult only anniversary stay? I know Polynesian recently underwent a Moana themed renovation, and the Contemporary is about to undergo an Incredibles themed reno. Are there any renovations for GF planned in the next 12-18 months? GF is the flagship resort and most expensive, but it appears to have mixed reviews on whether it is worth the extra cost. If Contemporary is the "chosen" resort, is it worth paying more to stay in the main tower over the garden wing? It seems the GW would save ~$1000 over the course of the stay which would be nice, but I also don't want to miss out on a better experience if it is "worth it."

Thank you for all your help!

Poly or Contemporary for me. I am not a fan of the GF outer buildings, and the main building is not worth the cost.

The Poly is an amazing resort, it is peaceful and relaxing. The Oasis quiet pool is one of my favorite pools at Disney. It is lovely to relax out there is the weather is nice. If club level is back next year, I would spring for that if it were in the budget.

WL is a great resort. I enjoy everything in one building. QS food options are great .

FYI, V&A has a minimum age limi for kids. 10 I think. Out of those 3 i would stay ay Poly.

If you honeymooned at the Contemporary, the Contemporary.

But my favorite adults-only resort overall is Yacht Club.

I love the Poly theming, but I find the resort to be loud and chaotic. I would, personally, choose GF. I think, overall, it's the best MK resort. If you are dining at V&A, it will also make that evening much easier since you won't have to contend with any resort-to-resort transportation.

If you choose CR, I would probably splurge on a TPV room in the tower for your anniversary. I like the GW, but I wouldn't exactly call it the most romantic resort building in the MK area.

In my opinion, both the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian offer wonderful, yet very different, atmospheres for a romantic trip. But I think my preference for rooms, would go to the Grand Floridian (as I don't think the Moana theme would give the ambiance you might be looking for). The wonderful thing, is you could stay at the Grand and still take an evening stroll to the Poly for a nice cocktail and enjoy the resort one evening as well.

We stayed at CR once with a theme park view. It was great to be able to watch the water parade and MK fireworks & light show from the balcony.

I would say Poly to experience another resort and you can’t beat the tropical vibe.

Never stayed at the GF and I'm personally not interested but that's just us.
We have stayed at the Poly many times over the years and love it. Don't know what it will be like after the remodel but it can't be too bad right?
I have stayed in a garden wing at the contemporary and it was not to my liking. It was like being detached from everything. Something I wouldn't do again.
