Which resort during thanksgiving week? Really confused as to which one AOA or beach club villas studio.

We will coming to WDW from Australia around thanksgiving. It has been 4 years since we have last been. I can’t believe it has been so long. I surpose we have had a huge international travel lock down in Australia.
The last time we came my daughter was with us and she was pregnant with my grandson. Last time we stayed at Grand Floridian and Beach club but there was only 3 of us. This time there will be 4 adults a 3year old and a baby. I am trying to keep the costs under control so would prefer to stay in one room rather than 2.
I have booked a one bedroom villa through Disney at grand Floridian from the 29th November for a few days.
My problem is deciding what to do from the 26th-29th November. We will be staying offsite for thanksgiving and do some non Disney things due to crowds. Hopefully Lego land won’t be to busy during thanksgiving.

I am deciding between beach club villas studio and family suite AOA. We will be doing Epcot and Hollywood during this time. The baby will be about 5 months old so will probably go back to the room for breaks. I just don’t know which one to choose. I know the pool area at beach club is great but I don’t know if we would use it much during the end of November.
Thank you for reading my long explanation.
I would appreciate any advice anyone has.

I think a BCV studio would be too cramped with that many people. An AoA family suite will give you two bathrooms and two separate rooms so that if you want to put the baby down for a nap you can have them in the bedroom and still relax in the "living room".

AoA will definitely get you more space, but if you are only going to Epcot & Studios, you can just walk to both of them from Beach Club. It would be super easy to get back to the room for naps, without dealing with the bus and it eating a large chunk of time.
It will be crowded, but if you’re ok with close quarters than I’d go with BC or Boardwalk.
The 3 year old could sleep on the pull down, 2 adults on the bed, and 2 adults & baby on the sofa bed (or reverse). I don’t think you’d be able to fit a crib in there with the 3 sleeping surfaces down.
If I remember correctly, I think the actual hotel rooms might provide a little more space than a studio, but I could be mistaken-unless you need that kitchenette. Check out both the BC and the Boardwalk. Good luck, and let us know what you decide.

Four adults and a 3 year old and a baby in a BCV studio?

I wouldn't do it.

I assume the baby will sleep in a pack 'n play. Where are you planning to have the 3-year-old sleep? Old enough to sleep in the bed which pulls down from under the TV? Too big for a second pack 'n play?

Make sure you see photos and videos of the BCV studios with the sofa bed out and the bed under the TV open. There will barely be room to walk around. Add a pack 'n play and a stroller and your suitcases? "Too cramped" is putting it mildly. And that's assuming 1 stroller, not 2.

The bed in a BCV studio is a platform bed, meaning you can't store suitcases or anything else underneath it.

There is very little storage space if you want to unpack. This type of room lost the dresser when they added the bed under the TV.

I can understand that you want to keep costs down, but I don't think this is the way to do it.

There is no way I would put 4 adults, a toddler and a baby in one DVC studio. I would do AoA or consider two rooms at CBR or even two rooms at Swan/Dolphin which may price out around the same price as the BCV studio and puts you in, basically, the same location as BC/YC/BWI. We typically get 2-bedroom suites at Swan/Dolphin for slightly more than a regular room at BC/YC/BWI. If you are interested in Swan/Dolphin, book directly through Marriott for the best prices.

You could technically "fit" inside a BC studio, but it would be a terrible experience. Even though they can "fit" 5 people, you have 1 bathroom and the actual space is very small. You would not be happy.

4 adults, 1 child and 1 baby need 2 spaces. AoA would be the best. Honestly, I don't know how you are going to be comfortable in a 1-bedroom at Grand Floridian. I'm not sure if you are staying on DVC side or the regular hotel area, but room layouts vary.

Have you looked into Swan/Dolphin? They are right next to Yacht Club and may give you more options with different prices.

2 studios at any of those places may be cheaper than 1 big room. You will need and want extra space after such a long trip and with spending so much money as it is. Enjoy your time without being cramped!

I'll be honest, 4 adults and 2 very small children in one room sounds like an absolute nightmare when it is a 1BR villa, so a single studio would be out of the question. I would opt for separate rooms for each family unit so there's space to spread out.

Discovery Cove limits their capacity, so it might not feel as crowded as some of the other parks. The Disney water parks might also be an option. But if you have any flexibility early December would be a much nicer time to visit.

Renting DVC points and staying at OKW might give you more space and a better experience than AoA. Plus with kids laundry facilities are really important. Or if you want something a little nicer AKL would give you plenty to do right at the resort.

Wow your trip sounds awesome.

Pretty sure you would not want to have 6 people in a BCV studio, max is 5 + a baby and the sleeping arrangements would be awful. The pull outs are not comfortable for adults/taller kids. They are cramped and then trying to set up a pack and play for the baby, there would be zero room. We stay in a studio as a family of 4 with two young teens and it's even getting tight for us. We do studios but we're in the parks and out an about most of the day. If we had 6 people with a baby, it would be awful.

The Family Suite at AofA would be much more suitable and practical for 4 adults, a toddler and infant and the big plus for that many people is the two bathrooms at AofA over the GF. Another option if you'll be at DHS and Epcot this time would be the Swan/dolphin and book two rooms. Not sure cost of AofA family suites but that could be comparable if you get a discount and you could walk/boat to the parks. Always a nice perk if you're doing epcot area.
